How to decide exit direction of Engineer in APC

Sometimes I try to use APC + Engi combination, but it often fails because my engi exits to the wrong side and gets killed. How can I control that he exits to the side that is between my APC and the building I want to conquer? Alternatively - does he always exit on one side - right or left?

You missed the 'a'

The default hotkey sucks, it's something like ctrl f4. You want to create a personal hotkey, which you do by going into options, hotkeys, then click the button which is normally the exit button. It will say ctrl f4, so you press clear, and type in a personal one which is very easy and quick to press: mine is `. Hope I helped, if not, ask away smile.gif

my evac is F
but i cant remember weather whether it is in this game where there is a short cut for 'non-combat' units

TIP zoom in a bit when trying to cap, this gives you more control and it is easier to get your engi back in a reversing apc

I thought the question was referring to exiting the APC not how to do it, but how to make the engi appear on one side of the APC or the other?!?!?

The default hotkey for exit APC is control + P. My default one has been changed to just P.

well if there is a building right there it exits on the right side, or if its moving it exits in the opposite direction of where ever its moving.
