Hi!
I've tried to install the GenTool on my Win10 system with Origin TUC.
The program (i.e. ZH) doesn't start. It stucks with error

D3D8.DLL
File corrupted! This program has been manipulated...

Once i confirm this message the next error appears

DirectX-Error
Please ensure that DirectX 8.1 is installed...

Before installing GenTool, the game was running propably...

I've already added an exception in BitDefender for the game path...

Any idea?

Is this compatible with Windows 10?

Best

K.

BitDefender is not compatible with GenTool.

I've noticed that the "go-to" resolution for this error when using Bit-Defender, is to just uninstall/remove it.

The FAQ doesn't specifically state to remove Bit-Defender, because it states that another option is to add an exception to the game directory.

As the "go-to" resolution is just to remove it, can compatibility for Bit-Defender be included in an update?

I'm not going to remove Bit-Defender, as I've paid good money for it and it works well.

Hi. Your best bet is to contact Bit Defender developers so that they can adjust their heuristics. It is their tool that puts GenTool on a threat list. GenTool is just a regular win 32 application. It cannot defend itself from being classified as threat from 3rd party applications such as Bit Defender (how could it?).
