i've told u that i can make a crossplatform application witch can run both on win and linux based platforms smilie_naughty.gif

ok, so just send me an example and i will see if it runs on the server cool2.gif
doing it with php+mysql would still be the best option imo. just look at gamereplays.org, it runs on php and mysql too smile.gif

can't u understand, the advantage of exe server is that i shouldn't write tranasfer protocol (update record routings etc...) between client and server database

me neither tbh tongue.gif
i guess he tried to say it would be less work for him.
interfacing the database via http/php would not only be a much cleaner solution, but also one that you could run on almost every webhost you'll find. if you need to execute your own custom exe then you'll most likely need to rent your own dedicated server. i know of no hosting company that would allow that on a shared host tbh.

for the start you could just upload the database as a xml-file and implement something in repinfo that periodically checks if the file on the server was newer and downloads it again.

maybe you just copied it from a word document? the text needs to be utf-8 encoded to work correctly via php. otherwise you will have to set the correct Content-Type header.
