The amount of work that Excelsior and Brabox have put into v.7 is insane and we all owe you guys something.
Thank you for putting in your free time in order to constantly improve our gaming and community experience!

I also hope that my attemps to improve the balance and spice up gameplay will turn out to be successful, I've put a lot of thought behind most of them tongue.gif

General Changes

- House of Healing and Siege Kegs upgrade positions switched with Boiling Oil and Oil Casks respectively.
- Axe Thrower axe projectile velocity increased.
- Fortress upgrade icons are now visible in the palantir.
- Fortress expansion pad icons are now visible in the palantir.
- Fortress expansion buttons are now in order of price.
- Sauron now has an animation for his Terrible Fury ability.
- All debuff type spells now precisely indicate the amount of damage and armour reduced.
- Collector's Edition features (such as white Eagles, glowing Banner Carriers and blue Barrage, etc) can now be enabled at the fortress.
- Boiling Oil, Oil Casks and Magma Cauldrons upgrades are now also radial.

- Tom Bombadil's Sonic Song shockwave magnitude increased to 80 (from 50).
- Watcher:
--- Summon shockwave magnitude increased to 120 (from 100);
--- Health from the arms increased to avoid enemies from destroying them and still deal damage.
- Ring Hero death blast shockwave intensity increased to 120 (from 70).
- Gandalf's Word of Power shockwave magnitude increased to 120 (from 75).
- Gloin:

- Rampaging trolls no longer yield PPs.
- Added auto ability functionality for Long Shot special ability.

General Balance Changes

- Complete overhaul of the experience system [see separate file named ExpChangelog.txt].
- Siege weapon healing can now be unlocked at level 2 siege production buildings; healing intensity increased at level 3.
- FortressExpansionArmor crush damage armour increased to 1% (from 25%).
- DefaultWallArmor now has 1% armour against crush damage.
- BlueMountainGateArmor now has 1% armour against crush damage.
- Orc Labourers now take up 2 command points (was 1).
- Barrow Wight bounty value decreased to 38 (from 50).
- Hero revival times reduced by 15%.
- Builders will now passively heal when not under attack.
- Horde bonus radius increased to 200 (from 160).
- Untamed Allegiance:
--- now also doubles the production speed of units from the Troll Cage, Mumakil Pen, Spider Pit, Fissure, Troll and Wolf Den, and Warg Pit.
--- effect radius reverted to 60 (from 100).
- Legolas and Brand's Train Archers abilities now also affect Evil archers.
- Sharku and Theoden can now attack from a 315 degrees angle (was 270) which makes it easier to attack surrounding enemies.
- Watcher attack range increased slightly to match arm length.
- Summoned Dragon:
--- appear and reposition shockwave magnitude increased to 100 (from 50).
--- appear and reposition shockwave radius increased to 100 (from 55).
--- appear and reposition damage radius increased to 100 (from 75).
--- appear and reposition will now instantly kill siege, builders and other units that die instantly from high meta impact.

- Cloud Break:
--- healing rate slightly increased;
--- will now replace three dead men per battalion.
- Transport ships can no longer generate resources.
- Earthquake's first damage increment now deals 5% more damage to structures (excluding fortresses and the Dwarven Citadel). This is to allow the spell to destroy general structures with 6000 health (as opposed to leaving them with miniscule health).
- Arrow Volley will now ignite the target area for 30s, temporarily dealing passive damage to nearby enemies.
- Tom Bombadil now uses the Hero stance template (was Fighter (Swordsman).
- Balrog:
--- now uses the Hero stance template (was Fighter (Swordsman));
--- attack shockwave magnitude increased to 200 (from 140);
- Shade of the Wolf:
--- now uses the Hero stance template (was Fighter (Swordsman)).

- Crebain and Cave Bats health increased to 3000 (from 1500).
- Lumber Mills:

--- Level 3 resource amount reduced to 12 (from 18).
--- Isengard's lumber mills no longer level up faster than those of Goblins and Mordor.
- Frodo:

--- Firing Duration reduced to 800 (from 826).
- Siege shroud clearing range increased to 550 (from 500).
- Siege will now benefit from stances:

- Hero Aggressive Stance template now provides +10% Speed bonus.

- Good & Evil Bombardment Ship:

--- delay between shots reduced to 10000 (from 12000).
- Structures (excluding Fortresses) now begin repairs after 120s of taking damage (was 240s).
- Fortresses now begin repairs after 180s of taking damage (was 240s).
- Wyrm:
--- health increased to 18000 (from 15000);
--- structural armour increased to 80% (from 100%);
- Number of experience points required to earn 1 power point increased to 75 (from 60).
- Fortress and wall ranged siege weapons can now toggle stances.
- Flyers now kill Battle Wagons in approximately two hits.
- Mountain Trolls, Drummer Trolls, Attack Trolls, Rogash, Fire Drake Broods, and Battlewagons can now pass through Postern Gates.
- Flood now deals +900% damage against Summoned Dragon.
- Avalanche now deals +300% damage against Summoned Dragon.
- Monsters now use new Monster stance template which provides similar bonuses to that of the Hero stance template.
- Frodo can now move unseen with the ring on his finger (no longer uses Elven Cloak).
- Balrog's Wing ability can now only be targeted within the Balrog's fly range.
- Horde Bonus damage bonus decreased to +25% (from +50%).
- Wildmen summons now spawn 3 hordes of Wildmen and 1 horde of Wildmen Axe Throwers (was 4 hordes of Wildmen).
- Elven Wood Fear and Terror resistance now compatible with Mini Hero Hordes and Berserkers.
- The Forged Blades and Heavy Armor unit upgrades now vary in price depending on the unit type it is purchased for.
- Troll crush damage increased to 30 (from 10).
- Mini-hero hordes are now immune to fear and terror at level 4 and higher.
- Troll fall animation now damages surrounding units.

AI Changes

- Numerous spells will now be cast more appropriately.
- Fixed multiple spell book path issues that would result in the AI not purchasing its complete set of spells.
- Re-ordered several AI spell book templates for more combat potency.
- Major overhaul on AI build templates - the AI will now build significantly more productions buildings and farms surrounding their fortress.
- Enhanced AI's offensive and defensive capabilities.
- AI upgrade parameters enhanced.
- Isengard and Elven AI will now cast their vision spells on units as opposed to enemy bases for vision.
- Men AI will now prioritise research of the Siege Materials upgrade.
- Unit special abilities will now be used more appropriately.
- King Brand will now make use of his sword.
- The Summoned Dragon will now make use of its Reposition special ability.
- The Mordor Witch-king:
--- will now make use of its mount / dismount special ability.
--- will now make use of his Morgul Blade special ability.

Custom Hero Changes

- Increased Fire Bomb projectile velocity.
- Train Allies ability:
--- level 1 experience increased to 70 (from 55);
--- level 2 experience increased to 110 (from 95);
--- level 3 experience increased to 150 (from 135).
- Back Stab special ability now makes use of a new, unique icon.
- Blink special ability now deals damage to surrounding units.
- Wizard's Word of Power shockwave magnitude increased to 120 (from 75).

Neutral Changes

- Signal Fire:
--- is now indestructible.
--- players now benefit from capturing a fourth Signal Fire (1 = -25%, 2 = -45%, 3 = -55%, 4 = -60%)
- Lairs (creeps) now yield higher resource rewards:
--- crate minimum yield increased to 100 (from 50);
--- crate maximum yield increased to 125 (from 100).
--- Spiderling Lairs now grant 3 treasure crates (was 2).
--- Fire Drake Lairs now grant 5 treasure crates (was 4).
- Lair Spiderlings:

Inns

- Men of the West faction can now recruit Galadhrim Warriors (was Dunedain Rangers).
- Elven faction can now recruit Rohan Peasants (was Hobbits).
- Isengard faction can now recruit Black Orcs (was Wildmen of Dunland).
- Mordor faction can now recruit Haradrim Spearmen (was Corsairs).
- Angmar's Hillmen Rebels (Wildmen of Dunland) build time reduced to 25s (from 30s).

Sound Changes & Additions

- Added over 80 new LotR trilogy tracks.
- Added multiple new voice files.
- Added new fear voices for Hobbits.
- Added Charge voice files for Knights of Dol Amroth.
- Snow Bind now has a unique cast sound FX (as opposed to using that of the Taint spell).
- Faction eva event system will now alert a player when an enemy has summoned Barrow Wights and Spiders.
- Added eva events for Shade of the Wolf sightings for the Dwarven and Elven factions.
- Added eva events for Wyrm sightings for the Dwarven and Elven factions.
- Hobbit hero "help me" voices can now be heard across the map.
- Reduced the volume of several unit death voice sounds.
- Enabled a creation eva announcement for Black Riders.
- Ambient cricket sounds will now play throughout the duration of the Darkness spell.
- Added structure under attack horn eva event sounds.
- Added sound effect for Gandalf's Shield Bubble.
- Eowyn's Shield Maiden ability now uses a different sound effect when activated.
- Increased the volume of one the sound components of Arrow Volley (This was not done for Longshot so as to allow the two powers to remain distinct).
- Wildmen and Orc summon can now be heard globally.
- Hobbit summon can now be heard globally.
- Increased the summon volume of the Lone Tower.
- The Angmar Mill now has its own unique select sound.
- Hall of the Kings Men now has its own unique select sound.
- Increased the summon volume of the Barricade.
- Added additional sound file for Freezing Rain spell and increased thunder frequency.
- Increased the volume of the Sunflare spell and set its audibility to global.
- Earthquake spell can now be heard globally.
- Rain of Fire spell can now be heard globally.
- Hobbit Allies spell will now be heard globally.
- Added additional sound FX for the Earthquake spell and increased spell rumble volume.
- Gandalf, Saruman, Theoden and Azog will now use their death speech voice files in conjunction with their regular death voice sounds.
- Increased the volume of the Summoned Dragon's initial summon roar and set its audibility to global.
- Increased the minimum volume of the Rohirrim Allies summon.
- Battle Chatter Voices: [It is the voice responses you hear from allied / enemy units when, for example, watching a replay or playing a normal game.]

- Frodo will now use new voice files when putting on his ring (he no longer uses Elven Cloak).
- Enshrouding Mist cast volume increased to 200 (from 105).
- Blessed Mist upgrade sound increased from to 120 (from 90).
- Added special recruit music for Galadriel.
- Added new fire sound effect to compliment the Arrow Volley passive fire damage.
- Dying Troll will now always play a death sound.
- Added death fall sound for Summoned Dragon.
- Rohan Yeoman Archer voice files re-enabled.

Graphic Changes and Additions

- Enhanced Good and Evil level up FXs.
- Horde bonus now emits an FX [Note: The FX lasts only 5s as it serves to inform a player that the bonus has been activated]
- Fear / Terror resistive bonuses now have an FX.
- Speed debuffs now have an FX.
- Added a slam sound FX for Faramir and Brand's level 2 arrow abilities.
- Hero and Mini Hero Horde self buff special abilities now have new or enhanced FX colours.
- Enabled Elven Wood and Tainted Land colour ping FX for skirmish games.
- Men Fortress damage visuals now require less damage.
- Black Ice visual duration now matches speed debuff effect.
- Gandalf's Istari Light now has an additional cast FX [adapted from BFME 2 BT2:DC].
- Forces of Darkness builders' stop command now has a new button icon.
- Mordor Witch-king and Fellbeasts dismount command button now has a new icon.
- Added a new dismount button icon to all heroes who are able to mount.

- Voice files of certain expansion units (such as Knights of Dol Amroth) will no longer be played simultaneously with unit group lead voice files (which would often be very loud and distracting).
- Snow Trolls can no longer crush units it shouldn't.
- Haradrim Rider Banner no longer uses the Rivendell Lancer crush weapon.
- Spider Rider Banner can now actually crush units.
- Dwarven Axe Thrower member vision radius increased to 375 (was 175 which was actually only appropriate for melee members).
- Dire Wolves now actually counter Half-Troll Marauders and Half-Troll Marauders, Hill Trolls and Phalanxes in Porcupine formation.
- Synced Mountain Giant melee animation timing with damage dealt.
- Debuffs now subtract the correct amount of Armour from enemies (before it would subtract significantly less).
- The 'builder die' eva event will no longer play before the 'builder under attack' eva event.
- Freezing Rain rain drops will now fall from a greater height which prevents the no-rain-drop bug on maps (such as Fords of Isen and Lostriand) from occurring.
- Noldor Warriors now have an actual capture flag animation.
- Rohan Peasant's banner will no longer speak when the batalion is issued the command to capture a neutral structure.
- Legolas' and King Brand's Train Archers ability can no longer be targeted on enemy units and summoned units.
- Fixed Battle Wagon Axe Thrower buggy axe throw animation.
- Sharku's celebratory animation no longer freezes after one play cycle.
- Goblin Fortress Drake will no longer disappear when revived.
- Trolls will no longer rush directly into troops when ordered to attack (which could be hazardous in certain situations).
- Fixed a bug where Half Trolls (and possibly other units) would take over an allied Slaughterhouse upon decomissioning.
- Dwarven Zealot Axe Throw ability bug (which would prevent horde members from attacking) has now been corrected.
- Mouth of Sauron Dissent no longer affects allied units.
- Karsh Whisper of Death infinite damage bug fixed.
- Main Shield Maiden FX now duration now matches the bonus.

Sorry for spamming not really proud of writing an issue biggrin.gif. With the way we start the game with this new patch (Standart launcher for ROTWK now) I lost my access to edited "zoom out" which used to enable to see more battlefield arena. Now all i see is my fortress with my resolution. You probably know what i'm talking about, i'm a noob in the technical part

If you use a widescreen monitor, you should not install "standard" (also known as 4:3) but "widescreen" (also known as 16:9).

Any larger zoom-outs are not directly supported by 2.02, you'll have to look into it yourself.

Siege are actually quite good Vs structures. Heck, they now even gain a range bonus on Aggressive Stance. tongue.gif If you want to deal more damage Vs structures, invest in siege upgrades. You can't expect un-upgraded siege to deal enormous damage, else you'd might as well remove their purchasable upgrades.

On another note, it's easy to compare patches when you're new to one. Take time to get used to what v7 has to offer. I was once a BFME 2 player who quite frankly hated RotWK gameplay. After all these years, I'm the one developing its patches and I couldn't be happier with the mechanics of the game.
