I prefer spider expansion.
Swordsmen are better to destroy a fort than pikemen
I do not know the stats of anyone, but it should be like normal game
Spider better against swordsmen and cavalry (possibly heroes too)
Wolves better against pikemen
Dunno against archers

Yeah. The expansion spawns too few Wolves, I think. The Spider Hole is a wall.

Goblins use these expansions to defend their weak PBs. Angmar doesn't really need that as much.

My troops always get stuck on those small spiderlamers, no chance to get my units away once the spiders are doing their work. Is this the same for wolfs? Never encounter them

Not as much because the the kennel doesn't spawn as many Wolves to get stuck between.

I do think spiderling expansions are a little lame. But they also cost 500 and only cover a few PBs. Elves have floodgates which are much more definitive when it comes to stopping units and they're only a bit more expensive.

The lamest fort expansion award goes to Mordor with its ridiculous gate watchers and insta-upgraded catas that cost 600 and can also launch skulls...

It's weird because I don't see it being purchased often. Perhaps it's just underappreciated.

I hesitate to put it like that cause I never see them in games. We don't want them to be exactly as strong as spider expansions I think because Angmar has stronger buildings.

If you have industry on a slaughter house that's near you fort you'd be crazy not to make some expansions to guard it. And what better to do so than fear-inducing expansions? tongue.gif

Anyway, it's most common on Buckland because that map is so tiny. There, Industry = everything. Your industry farm produces like 70% of your income. So, for your opponent, harassing turns into taking out 1 specific farm. And if you guard it, that's incredibly hard (unless they have a power like Wyrm). Paying 400-600 for an expansion is not a lot, considering your industry furnace will give you >+100 per cycle.
