Adding BFME2 Campaigns to 2.02

First, I would like to thanks the 2.02 team, I've been playing RotWK again and you've done an awesome job.

Now, I'm not really into PVP multiplayer, but I enjoy quite a lot the campaign. Only sour thing, I can't play the original BFME2 campaign with 2.02.

Tada : https://www.nexusmods.com/lordoftheringsbat...earth2/mods/558

More seriously...

1) Should 2.02 add support for the original BFME2 campaign and thus become "THE" ultimate bfme2 version

2)And does anyone knows how to add -and not replace- buttons in the main menu to launch said campaigns.

I'm looking forward to the community opinions.

Keep up the good work.

It's probably not easy to add menu entries to the main menu. However, we could add an option in the Launcher that allows you to switch between RotWK+Epilogue or Evil+Good campaigns.

Does the mod you provided the link to work?

I will try this later today, my problem with this was the menu entries but it seems someone did it.

The mod does work and do the following thing :

-Replace the Angmar Campaign with the Good campaign
-Replace the Bonus Campaign with the Evil one.
-Unlock from the start the epilogue in order to allows player to play the Evil Campaign
-Change the button text with the correct one (all languages, tested in french)
-Correct in Science.ini a few cost for the Good SpellTree
-Restore in commandSet the EvilSpelltree, which was messed up in RoTWK

Indeed, adding something in the launcher could be a good compromise.

I tried, the first mission from both sides, without major problem

knows bugs : tutorial tips are a little bit bugged with 16/9 screen ratio
ROTWK units are unlocked from the start, which is both a good thing (new things to try !) and a bad thing(What, I can't create anything but basic warrior and noldor ?)

Download and extract the file wherever you want.

create a shortcutfor ROTWK, but add in the "target" field (in properties)
-mod "C:/where_you_put_the_mod/bfme2 in rotwk"

should work as a mod, because we don't wanna replace any of the current campaigns, this because there is no entries for all of them

Agreed, That why I hoped for someone with more modding knowledge than me to find a solution to "the menu problem"

Still, I think it would be interressing as a side mod in the launcher

Its not impossible to add the entries in, but there is no one in the bfme community that knows how to do it at this point.
Porting the campaign is easy ive done it before, 2-3 days work tops. Even added new campaign specific units lol.

I was just thinking about whether this was possible. It would have been cool if it were part of the switcher. Maybe someone will come along eventually.
