Not really a priority of course, but perhaps it could be added to manual report by letting the loser (optionally) press additional keys after F6.

E.g. F6 + E + D = loser elf vs winner dwarf

But ofc you'd need to distinguish between Men and Mordor so you'd use the last letter for those 2:
Men = N
Mordor = R
Elves = E
Dwarves = D
Goblins = G
Isengard = I
Angmar = A

That way if someone presses M accidentally, it won't register.
How to set factions in case of 2v2 or 4v4 then?

2v2 might be doable, but anything larger would really become a problem. Anyway, those stats are not that important for balance anyway.

It would be nice to support all game modes as it would encourage even more people to play. The idea is to allow 1v1s to reward you with far more points than, say a 4v4.

Any incorrect things on the ladder page can always still be resolved.

Don't forget: we have all matches, so it's easy to re-calculate the ratings perfectly. Even AR matches can be inserted into the correct spot.


I guess what I'm saying is: issues can be solved retroactively. So: just play your matches, the ratings might not always be 100% correct, but what's most important is that we have the match list. From the match list, we can derive any point/ranking we want.

Yes, the current ratings would be. Please read my post again.

As long as we have the correct match list as well as inactivity penalty time stamps, the points can be re-calculated from scratch.

Yeah. He means like you drop all games data and then process all games in the correct order. That sounds so much like event driven development biggrin.gif (a paradigma in programming: wikipedia)

You don't have to do that multiple times though. Once is enough.

I mean, if there's a mistake with the current points, you can just re-calculate them from game 0.

how is possible though that Tiko has played one game so far(lost) and yet gained 32 points? The replay says -13

Recalculating all of this from scratch is such a tremendous and dumb work and even after u make it nobody knows its right because cba recalculating it by themselves. Its a miracle that nobody with flawed rating didnt play so far.

Ye that can be a drawback of me calculating (fixing) the points incorrect when trying to revert points penalty feature. That is possible. You're all aware your using beta of the product.

If you can do programming it is not really a dumb. You write piece of code that goes through, drops all the games data and calculates through all events (games).

What? A modern computer can process 10,000s of games in a second.

Maybe you're upset because you don't feel your games count but I can assure you: just play your games, as long as they are reported fine, the actual score doesn't matter right now. >> The points can always be fixed later <<

Coding this wheel of fortune (players matching app) prototype took me about 5 hours of my free time. Was fun tho. The main reason why I actly did it XD

It updates on every player's browser in real time. Just like a chat app.
