Arranging Playtimes

As this is a month long tournament players have the freedom to play each other at a time that is ideal for both players, however Round 1 games must be played during week 1, Round 2 games must be played during week 2, Semifinal games must be played during week 3 and Finals/Third Place playoffs must be played during week 4.

Please keep the following under consideration when arranging playtime's with your opponent

• It will be up to the higher seeded player to reach out to their opponent to initiate a discussion surrounding match times. You may use this forum topic to arrange times with your partner or discuss it via the official GameReplays Discord channel (or private message your opponent directly). If for some reason a mutual time cannot be agreed upon contact a Referee directly to act as an independent arbitrator. Their ruling will be final.
• You must play all of a series consecutively. For example if you have a best of 3 series against an opponent, you must play these games immediately one after another, you may not spread games out during different times of a single day, or different days in the same week.
• If both players have agreed on a time and date, and one player does not show up, that player is disqualified. Respect the time of your fellow participants. If a legitimate emergency arises that prevents you from making the pre-arranged time please reach out to your opponent and a Referee as soon as possible to notify them and alternate arrangements may be made to accommodate you if your case is deemed appropriate for re-arrangement.
• If for any reasons both players forget to play their game during the allotted week they will both be Disqualified. It is your responsiblity as a participant to keep track of the live tournament bracket and keep communications open throughout.

Uploading Scores & Replays

It is required that players upload both their scores & corresponding replays before moving onto their next round of games. It is the winning players responsibility to upload the score and relevant replays to this forum topic.

Scores & Corresponding Replays must be uploaded by the following deadlines:

• Week 1 - Round 1 Games: 17:00 GMT Sunday 7th February
• Week 2 - Round 2 Games: 17:00 GMT Sunday 14th February
• Week 3 - Semi Finals: 17:00 GMT Sunday 21th February
• Week 4 - Finals & Third Place Playoff: 17:00 GMT Sunday 28th February

Failure to upload your Replays & Scores by the deadline may result in disqualification. If you encounter technical difficulties in trying to upload Replays or Scores please contact the Tournament Referee directly. Do not leave it last minute to upload your replays.

When uploading your Scores & Replays please use the following format:

Round: Round 1
Score: Team A 2-1 Team B

- Replay File 1
- Replay File 2
- Replay File 3

Seeding

In the interest of taking the most up to date information about players into consideration, ranking from the Beta Season 3+ community ladder has been used with certain players boosted in positioning due to previous tournament performances.

FAQ's

Who decides spawns for the pre-selected final round maps
As with previous tournaments hosted on GR It will be based on the person with the lower seeded ranking getting to select the spawns.

Who hosts the deciding match for final round maps?

So there is no confusion on this:

• Round 1: Map Pick & Host - Lower Seed. Spawn Pick - Higher Seed.
• Round 2: Map Pick & Host - Higher Seed. Spawn Pick - Lower Seed.
• Round 3 (bo3): Green Acres & Host - Higher Seed. Spawn Pick - Lower Seed.
• Round 3 (bo5): Map Pick & Host - Lower Seed. Spawn Pick - Higher Seed.
• Round 4: Map Pick & Host - Higher Seed. Spawn Pick - Lower Seed.
• Round 5: Elevation & Host - Higher Seed. Spawn Pick - Lower Seed.

Hope I got this right.

Round 1:

DMraider 2-0 vs Burn15

Two breach of rules to outline here regarding DMraider's replays:

1. As stated in the rules 'Winners Bracket: Best of 3 rounds - each player will pick one map that they wish to play with the decider being Green Acres. ' this means you cannot select Green Acres as one of the first two maps in a Bo3 series. In this instance it was used as match 1.

2. As stated in the rules 'Green Acres - bottom left vs top right' are the selected spawns, in this instance top -v- bottom was used. This is in breach of the rules, and it is not at the players discretion to decide its ok - it's not. Please consult a Referee (in this instance Danku) as soon as a situation like this arises.

In this instance the official scoring for this round will be 1-0 for the game on Elevation. I have spoken with Burn15 directly who has kindly forefitted and dropped out of the tournament as a result.

Please ensure to read the rules carefully to avoid unnecessary complications such as these moving forward.

I have updated the bracket with all of Round 1's results.

Some Notes:

• Due to lack of communication I have had to disqualify gotBooched from round 1. This automatically advances Campaign Player to round 2.
• Due to breach of rules the games between DMraider & Burn15 has been officially recorded as 1-0 with Burn15 dropping out.

As before it will be up to the higher seeded players to reach out to the lower seeded players to start making arrangements for round 2s games. Please ensure all replays for round 2 are uploaded by 14th February @ 17:00 GMT - it is the winning players responsibility to upload these replays.

Note: Round 3 is the semi-finals, winners of this round will move on to the grand finals. Losers will also get to play off for the third prize place in week 4 of the tournament in a Bo3 matchup.
