Welcome ladies and gents to a new era of map hack free generals. Remeber the programmers do not get paid. You cannot expect this to be perfect. But it does work. So sit back, and enjoy some HACK FREE GENERALS.
Complete Anti-Map Hack solution.
For example, anyone want to send you a text message, this will block by Aceton if the sender-IP not in the gaming-lobby.
Another example is if you host a game, anyone without Aceton in the lobby holds the mouse over your game to get information.
The message is only kind of interest if the disconnect screen from Generals appears at the same time.
This doesn´t make us happy, but we don´t want to sniff all IP-packets if they are for gaming or for chatting or anything else.
If you wanto play without aceton you must exit generals and exit aceton then go to your
"C:Program FilesEA GamesCommand and Conquer Generals" and delete the file called aceton.big.
PEOPLE WHO GET DC SCREEN IN GAME:
One possible problem is that sometimes people start the game not from aceton but from the shortcut. The game MUST be started from inside of aceton or u will not be able to play agasint anyonelse, and will get the DC screen. Sometimes even when u start the game from aceton it doesnt registeer properly. If the ICON for "LAUNCH GAME" in aceton is NOT GREY when you are in the game, then you WILL get the DC screen. Simply exit gens and launch it from aceton again to fix this issue.
Also, if you appear on the waiting list when your INSIDE generals you WILL get the DC screen. You must be in "playing" mode to be able to play. This is a known issue that occurs sometimes. Easiest solution: Close gens and launch from aceton again to make sure the LAUNCH GAME icon is greyed out.
Let me explain how this works:
Basicaly you start aceton before you start generals. You make a username and password for aceton and log into their server. Aceton will check if you have MH (And will also check while game is running). If you have a MH your CD key is added to the BAN list and you may never again play anyone using aceton, again. In other words unlike GR if your caught map hacking here you will never play anyone with aceton again, and i expect everyone will convert to aceton because everyone suspects everyone else. When you have logged in somewhere in the program it will say "launch generals".
After launching generals FROM Aceton (NOT by it self) any game in the lobby that is not running aceotn will appear as grey. Meaning if you wanto ensure the person or people you are playing do NOT hack they must also be using aceton. Games that are running aceton will appear normal. Naturaly becasue it will take a while for everyone to convert to aceton a lot of games will not be compatible early on. You can always exit generals and start generals normally without aceton, but you will have no anti hack gurantees if you do.
As you understand map hack will be updated. But good news and bad news for a lot of you, so will aceton, meaning MH days should finnaly be over for a while. Enjoy ladies, i know i will.
