Copying New files gets to like 2 bars, then decides to not continue.

First time I tried got to 0 bars so that's some progress.

I have the Kane edition if that makes any difference.

I got something simular in my installation. But I got normal edition, however.

"Error 1305.Error reading the file C:\Programfiler\EA GAMES\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\MP\1.0\config.txt
Verfiy that the file exists and that you can access it"

Disable any antivirus before installing the game. If that doesn't help, try installing using a diagnostic startup -

http://gamereplays.org/hardware/task.php?nameid=diag

If that fails to help, try setting the DVD drive to PIO mode -

Find the drive you are using to install from in device manager as in the image below..............

The CDRW or DVD drive could be on the Primary or Secondary Channel. deselect "Let bios select transfer mode" and pick PIO mode from the drop down box.

After setting PIO mode, Reboot and try to install again.

Once you have installed the game, return the settings to how they were before you made the changes because the drive will be running at a slower transfer rate.

I got the same problem but I managed to solve it by making some changes in the windows regional settings. Open Control Panel --> Regional settings --> advanced -- > Make sure you select English for non-Unicode programs then restart PC & run instalation again.

That solved my problem after trying 5 times to install the game, I hope this will solve yours as well wink.gif
