Rog is a summoned, isn't he, like aod? aod is slowed by cloudburst...

Cloud BREAK. Summoned units can be heroes too, I thought CB affected rog but i'm not 100% sure.

i think the only difference between heroes and normal units are just they can regenerate and you have a picture of them, that's why maybe eagles and rog are different from other heroes but im pretty sure a wk with pala in move mode is faster than eagle on attack mode

I believe that Gandy escaping eagles around castle trick goes way back to 1.02 days. Haven't tested thorougly, but Gandy must be very close to the wall and there must be some wall structures to elevate eagles. Thus u need to click a lot and also have some towers/trebs.

And just to remember (old pro trick): runing around in a circle around range attacker (Gandy with Istari, Eowyn with spear, Fara with WA...) prevents the attacker to lock the target. Hard to do for a longer period of time, but perhaps just long enough to recharge heal and escape.

Thanks for mentioning that reminder. Although the attacking hero has locked on immediately, the delay in executing the attack can fool its player into thinking the original command failed, and a re-command by then may actually fail because the target could then be out of range. The delay also renders the attacker helpless and useless if in the midst of melee units simultaneously attacking him/her or his/her allies, turning the tables from a successful coup de gras into a suicide :-(
