Sounds like an underdog type of game. Packed with lots of win, but not a lot of people hyping.

Sometimes that's good. Games with lots of media hype often end up a disappointment (watch dogs...) It's often good when you find a released jem that you love but hadn't heard of.

Not really true. Hyped games can be good, and even hype can be good for a game. TBH, an RTS can only profit from hype since its not really a popular genre right now.
Watch Dogs was a mess, but it sold really well and because of that a lot of things got fixed, and that's a thing we expecct from a competetive RTS - things to get fixed later on (face it, it's not going to be perfect on the first try).

As for GreyGoo, I don't really like the feel of it. Still have little hope for Act of Aggression, but I losing it slowly.
