The Elite mod 2.3.1 patch is out and contains many improvements such as sync kills, hotkeys, vehicle rotations, and the much awaited sniper changes. Would like to mention that if you made any hotkey changes, they will have to be redone. This patch requires 2.3 to be installed first and then 2.3.1 to be installed over it. You can download the patch here.

  • Sync-kill override activated: Sync-kills will now only occur against single entities (commanders, walkers etc) or the last remaining model in the squad. They have a 50% chance of happening.
  • Walkers with anti-vehicle ranged weapons now have a minimum range, to prevent them firing in melee combat
  • Sternguard Venegance rounds will now auto-target vehicles
  • Heretics now use proper pistol firing animations
  • Elite Mod Tooltips now translated to Spanish. Translation by Rafael Barbudo "Aertes"
  • New voice lines for Chaos Raptors (by Jazz-Sandwich)
  • Warboss can now retreat while performing "Now I'm Angry"
  • Aura of Discipline no longer works on allied commanders
  • Weirdboy's Warpath ability no longer stacks with allied Warpaths
  • Sniper rework as explained here
  • Added some visual effects for spawning Rippers and Spore Mines from Infestation Pillars & Carnifexes
  • Grey Knights now have fully customizable hotkeys. Orbital Bombardment, Repair and Smite are still shared with Space Marines.
  • Updated AI behavior (by KanKrusha)
  • Various Tooltip updates
  • Various visual improvements
  • Webway abilities no longer switches UI slots
  • Abilities that disable/snare vehicles now also reduce rotation rate, so stop vehicles spinning in place. Details below.
  • keydefaults.lua is now easier to navigate
  • Nurgle worship will now give demons 13.5 hp/s regen as intended
  • Upgrading the Strike Squad Justicar after Psybolts will no longer remove the Incinerator or Psycannon
  • Fixed the flame + enhanced decorator not being removed when Strike Squad incinerator is replaced by psycannon after psybolts
  • Fixed Techmarine's armors not swapping out properly
  • Fixed IG shotguns not having fx (Lost Son of Nikhel)
  • Fixed Chosen Plague Marines and Plague Marines being in the same double click selection group. Same for Flash Gitz + Shootas
  • Globals on the Sorcerer Hero selection screen are now in the right order, and Mass Warp has been replaced by Warp
  • Spawn Rippers global on the Tyranid Hero selection is now Without Number
  • Chaos Lord's Maul glow fx now follows the maul instead of freezing in place (by Lost Son of Nikhel)
  • Retreating Artillery Spotters during the use of an ability will no longer cause the ability cooldown to reset
  • Bloodaxe Stormboys now have jump pack fx
  • Terminator Librarian can no longer knock back units in retreat with his special attacks
  • GK Rhino bolter can no longer attack ground
  • IG Stormtroopers, IG HWT, marked CSM, and Venom Brood can now be viewed in the army painter
  • Stikkbommaz default melee skill increased from 70 to 80 as intended
  • New Sternguard Veteran models, updated Ulthwe Guardian model (by sterling)
  • Sternguard Kraken rounds have a new visual effect
  • New armor for Mark of Tzeentch Chaos Space Marines (by sterling)

    Increased Blind Grenade energy cost from 20 to 40
    Can affect friendly and allied squads, has no effect on vehicles, monstrous creatures or daemons

Grey Knights

  • Brother-Captain size reduced from medium to small (normalized)
  • Psychic Lash damage increased from 120 to 170
  • Psyk-Out Grenade now inflicts 130 explosive_pvp damage as well on top of it's existing effect
  • Purified Blades effect reworked - now grants +5 melee splash damage and 20% chance of knockback effect when hit in melee. No longer drains energy.
  • Strike Squad Justicar cost from 90/25 to 75/25
  • Strike Squad Justicar now has his plasma weapon by default
  • Reduced the red from Strike & Interceptor from 21 to 19 , Justicars down from 23 to 19
  • Strike Squad & Justicar ranged damage increased from 13 to 15

  • Mobile Base locks down the Chimera, giving it 30% damage resistance and +250 HP. Spawns heavy cover crater objects and a relay beacon allowing a retreat point (no HP regen on beacon). Chimera cannot move while in Mobile Base. Takes 6s to set-up or tear down.
    You can path through the Chimera while it is locked down. This is not a bug but rather a solution to pathing problems it causes by having right of way even if it can't move.

  • Chaos Terminators Lightning Claws and Autocannon hotkeys set to "L" and "C" respectively, same as before
  • Chosen Plague Marines' Nurgle's Rot ability set to "E", same as before
  • Plague Champion's Aura of Decay set to "T", same as before

  • Chaos Space Marines now gain the "Slaughter" ability with Aspiring Champion. They lose this ability if they get a Mark.
  • Slaughter: Throws CSM into a frenzied state, increasing ranged damage by ~20% and allowing them to switch freely between ranged and melee weapons (~34 DPS melee, +1.5 HP regen, 12 melee charge) for the duration. Lasts 25s. 80s cooldown.
  • Chosen Plague Marine's Nurgle's Rot range increased from 15 to 22
  • Chaos Predator pop cost reduced from 18 to 15
  • Harness of Rage no longer increases the damage done by the Chaos Lord
  • Chaos Lord rotation rate reduced from 400 to 160
  • Let the Galaxy Burn damage reduced from 35 to 30
  • Drain Life damage increased from 60 piercing to 120
  • Curse of Tzeentch duration from 20 to 25 seconds
  • Mark of Khorne (CSM) health increased from 15 to 20%
  • Mark of Khorne (CSM) now have battle regeneration (Battle Fury) that increases their hp regen by 1 when they are engaged in combat.
  • Daemonic Visage cost reduced from 125/35 to 115/30
  • Daemonic Visage now triggers through chaos lord melee hits and effects units in radius 25. Reduces the damage done by 25% for 5 seconds. Does not stack.
  • Icon of Khorne cost reduced from 100/25 to 100/20
  • Chaos Dreadnought Autocannon had some weird damage modifiers based on it's AoE radius, this has been corrected. Long range changed from 3 to 2.
  • Chaos Havoc courage damage reduced from 0.3 to 0.2 (Distant)
  • Chaos Havoc courage damage reduced from 0.3 to 0.2 (Long)
  • Chaos Havoc courage damage reduced from 1.25 to 0.4 (Medium)
  • Chaos Havoc courage damage reduced from 2.75 to 2 (Short)
  • Chaos Havoc Bolter damage increased from 12 to 23
