Valid point. Not every maphacker will maphack every game. I believe some only maphack in games where they feel an edge is needed depending upon the level of the opponents.

I recently played on Achelous River (2v2 map, but the host closed 1 of each of the spots.)

He was an extremely obvious chinese map hacker. Talking shit, offmapping without vision, etc. I played him again and he had to spawn engis into a building to get an advantage early. I wish I would have saved the replay, I only saved a recording of the replay.

Don't play Achelous River if the host is numbers.

I've probably played that same host. I try to avoid achelous because it is a favorite of maphackers (in addition to being a lame bridge map). Really fun losing multiple cloaked snipers (set to hold fire) to enemy mortars. The same mortars magically start firing when cloaked sniper moves to corner location and then stop firing when there are no more snipers to kill.

You probably have faced him lol. He has over 2k games. He just made another account too. I made my name to "Small penis asian" and he just blew up with chinese character text. Lmao

There is no foolproof game statistics method to identify a maphacker. You can look at the overall win ratio for an army and compare that to the current streak. Someone who has 500 wins and 500 losses but a 20 game win streak is very suspect as the probability of this happening randomly is about one in a million. It might be tempting to think that anyone with a 30 game win streak must be maphacking. The problem with this approach is that games are not random. They may be intentionally stacked or consist of a team versus randoms which can allow players to far exceed expected win streaks, even absent a maphack. Players may also intentionally protect their win streaks by only engaging in sure wins. If you are thinking win ratios alone can spot a maphacker, I've seen legitimate 10:1 ratios and maphackers with less than a 1:1 ratio.

Analyzing replays is far more reliable than looking at player stats. If you had access to all the individual games for a player (not just the overall record), this could help spot maphackers by analyzing the trend in win ratios continuously over time. Players not cheating will show a natural progression of improvement while maphackers will tend to have a sudden spike.

I can honestly say that from what you said here, you have no idea of how I analyze it! Not even close.
You're also forgetting that a Maphack is not a guarantee of winning. I've found Maphackers with 600 wins and 400 losses. If you're Crap, you're Crap and you can still lose even with a Cheat!
You are right about one thing though, there is no foolproof way to know. If my method was foolproof I'd tell everyone. For example: My method only works with 1v1. I'm assuming that if the Maphackers team mate(s) is not maphacking, then it covers for the maphacker. It also depends on the number of games played. There's not enough data in 1oo games to be sure. 800+ games is the minimum I'd use to be confident.

Did you not read what I wrote? I specifically said I've seen maphackers with more losses than wins. It follows that a maphack is no guarantee of winning. I forgot nothing.

Why don't you enlighten us on your detection method? Thus far you've made grandiose claims without offering a shred of evidence. Everything I suggested is potentially viable even if it doesn't match your method. Analyzing 1v1s only isn't necessarily more accurate. As you acknowledge, pathetic players with a maphack can still get trashed in a 1v1. Quite often, a maphack is more potent in team games because the hacker is more likely to survive into the mass arty stage.

All I've heard from you is bluster. If you have something worthy of sharing, share it. Otherwise, no credit for you.
