GG Argentino...... I can't help but wonder why on earth you didnt go BARs first. Even tho the sherman was effective, by teching you allowed him to build that position around the foward bunker which he held for quite a while. If you went BARs you would have wiped him off the map.

Sounds logical, of course. The thing with bars is that it is very risky vs this player. In fact, i would say that he is always expecting and tempting the us player to go bars first. Unless you are a god at flanking and timing with bars, i dont recommend that opening against him. I tried bars the first 2 games and didnt go well, if u fail it is kind of gg already. He uses zoomhack (so he can see the flanking coming from miles away) and spams lots of mines in the early. By the time u reach bars he probably has 3 volks, 1 mg and 1 mg bunker. He always picks def doc, so u if u go all in and u fail he continues with 2 snipers and t3 asap, and u are most likely done. He likes spamming bunkers aswell... so going arty is logical too... but probably a mistake. Anyway, i would like to see other players sharing some replays against him, so we can argue about the best strat to beat this kind of wm playstyle

In this replay it seems mines and/or FTFL would have been his only way of stopping BARS. He would have had VVVmg with no MG bunker. Sounds like food for 4 BARs if you ask me. After a proper flank on the MG i dont see how 3 volks even with FTFL could hold off 4 BARd rifles? I do hear what youre saying, and its interesting that you that think he's tempting you to go BARs. Of course i trust your logic.
FTFL is insanely strong + he can keep reinforcing at the bunker. This alone is powerful enough to force bars away. I think T4 is def the play here since a Sherman can easily force a blob of volks to retreat from the bunker where as an M8 can't even BARs struggles since it gets hard countered by double snipes or fast T3. I think armor was also the good choice because those hellcats traded like crazy vs those stugs and he was never able to recover.
Intense fight with lots of mistakes from both sides.
This guy has a really solid strat. This was the 4th game after losing the previous 3
