I just went random to be able to find a match and I got my beloved British Faction. I cannot play this faction at all and I know it because it doesn't fit the system of the game but fuck that. Just watch the replay, no spoilers.

Pretty sure even if you go random it will determine your faction as soon as you start the search. For example once you click start it doesn't even do any thinking just gives you a faction like the US and it will remain that until you manually stop and search again.

I'm saying you are not increasing your odds of getting a match when you search with random.
It will determine your faction once you click start. It will not change this choice. A real random search would see who is searching for a game and find the best opponent out of those people and determine your faction based on theirs. The current system just gives you something without giving a fuck. Even though it might say you're searching random in reality the system has already made its mind and picked you brits.
