StuGs were especially made to withstand frontal assaults. You can calculate the chance your shot 'bounces' based on the distance, gun calibre and armor type (i.e. frontal or rear). I don't know the exact scenario but I can only imagine you were shooting from medium-long range at the StuG's frontal armor. Gotta get up close and preferably behind the rear. 6 shots 'bouncing' is still unlucky though, but it can happen.

I was circling around the stug with one hellcat and other one sticking right next to it, the guy who won that match has actually uploaded it. Go watch it it is in the member replays now.

Yeah I looked at it again; it is that match against the Osama dude.

You didn't actually get a 'rear' shot on any of the StuG's. Bounching on the frontal armor up close is just unlucky but it happens. Rear shot penetrate 100% I believe. Besides, of the 6 shots you landed 2 successfully.

I assume that you know when something is designated by the game as a 'rear' hit, right?

I have to admit that this game is one of my favourite RTS - played alot of SC - and there is another satisfaction to this game as its set in WW2 scenario which is very appealing to me.

I also played before the steam version - was probably never really good at the game - but i do enjoy it alot - i tried the new version but it just feels really wrong - so i much prefter the old one even if the graphics are worse. imo its one of the best rts games made - and its sad to see that its player base is shrinking.

On the other hand you can still get a game quite easy - and its a very enjoyable way to spend some late hours and work the brain of yours - like real time chess - with more exciting graphics.
