A really nice game. w00t.gif
I haven't watched the replay yet, so I won't leave any detailed hints yet.
I was just surprised that a double PE team could work so well. Actually this is the second time I have had problems vs a 2xPE team on this map. The original capping power is really giving them an early advantage that can be transferred into a solid mid to lategame when played right.
Big maps like PdH and perhaps McGechaens might be easier as 2xPE than the smaller maps where I definitely prefer Wehr+PE as axis.

Axis team played well but I'm a bit lazy on analyzing and finding out actual cause of errors here. The SE player did well, but didn't really use Traps or Scorched Earth to it's potential. But the Hummel use was pretty good, I even changed my video settings just to take a screenshot of brit/us blobs at the wrong place at the wrong time. Admittedly I've seen some good Hummel shots destroying blobs, this was one of the best I've seen.

Also I loathe US snipers against PE. Seeing the triple vet sniper get killed(had to add my own opinion of allied snipers to my sig) was reason enough to wub this, but the Hummels working overtime, and rather good but uneventful play of dual PE against 2 strong opponents can also warrant that.

Yeah I lost 1 sniper to a hummel shell, another sniper to a hetzer that hit it randomly while cloaked (it was firing at another unit), and the last to when the sniper follows a squad you targeted after it retreated and I wasnt paying attention.

Luckily I didn't lose those para squads, those are the only 2 I built all game and they both got triple vet smile.gif

Keep in mind avd and i haven't been playing allies at all, only axis for the last few months so we might've been a bit rusty but the OPness known as allies was enough for us smile.gif

I just watched the replay and I'm not sure what you guys did wrong.
Perhaps too much arty which was strong vs my infantry but not so good vs the tanks. Boobytraps should be used by the SE player, I think it is absolutely worth it to get the traps first every game and then try to boobytrap every point possible.
If you don't mind giving away that you are going to go SE you can also send your first Ketten to the +10 in the south and lay a trap before you cap, then wait for that pesky recon squad to cap and laugh, it will only damage them in most cases, but it will help you to win that first engagement.
Versus a Tommies+WSC opening it might be smarter to go Tankhunters+Luftwaffe though. The cloaked Kettenkrads are really helpful in getting the snipers, spotting where to mortar and where there are areas which we cannot control, and that can be securely capped. Have you tried that combo yet?

I agree with you guys, too many hummels and no booby traps...my micro is not that good yet sad.gif

Should have built t3 to get some good at cover and proctected those hummels properly.

What about that nasty funkwagon? did it reallly slow you down?

We almost never do 2xPE, so the strats were real-time, really, nothing decided beforehand. I liked not to see the bs SC and puma spam that is so common in PE games...

You cannot watch this without the beta.

And the Funkwagon stole some of our fuel although it did not sit on a fuel sector or a "connecting" sector. Either they changed how it should work, or it is still bugged somehow.
