I loved the HMG use throughout the game - old school and awesome.

I think some kind of arty would have really helped you with the mortar, mg, sniper combo - stuka maybe because you made it to T4 fairly early on (and it can't get sniped). You also let your infantry chill at vet 1 for quite a while. A faster vet 2 would have helped with some of those mid-game engagements.

It's really hard to deal with multiple snipers against an AB player. Wehrsnipers tend to miss way too often and it's very difficult to charge BARed rifles and a .30 cal with infantry. The new 3m vehicle detection is nice, but RRs + airdropped 57mm = bye bye puma or ostwind so it's not really an option. I'm not sure how to counter them right now short of having a critical mass of infantry with which to bum rush and generally that doesn't work either with strafe.

I actually lost a game in a similar position on Ango, up on VPs, up on map control, but couldn't do anything against RRs, 57s, and 3 snipers.

The irony with airborne is that you have to have infantry to deal with it, as between stickies, RRs, and the para-57s you can't depend on your tanks, but your infantry just becomes strafe fodder the way strafe is now.

I do think you had this one in the bag save for the strafes. That was some pretty blatant abuse.

Whoa .. it is sad to see someone dominate the entire game just to simply collapse because of single doctrine ability.

I enjoyed the game. I thought you, Architect, went out on a limb with the fast T4 but it worked out. The Medic Bunker helped with the painful strafes. Wehr really needs a better and/or cheaper healing option as having full health units is the best defence against strafes.

Ostwind seemed useless against Airborne Para. Seemed to miss alot.

I would say your costly mistake was the second Ostwind. You had the fuel for the P4. Always keep a P4 on the field, it's ok against infantry but essential against tanks. Not remaning and repairing your Pak after the Strafe was a mistake as well. Those two would have pushed back the Sherman.

Never leave an U.S. AT gun to be remaned. Capture it when possible, it's better than Pak, or destroy it.

I agree with the above post regarding a Stuka. It would have pushed his Infantry back and or forced them off the field and was only 50 munitions more. It even works on Snipers, which Wehr really don't have a decent response to.

Defensive really lacks finishing power, no off map tank, and is munitions heavy. You really needed to OP a munitions for Registered, Rocket Barrage and spamming FTFL.

Lastly try FTFL if you hear the plane or see it on the mini map. I know it's tough to do but it should help.

great early game that was some good mg use. Lost tanks that you really shouldn't have. I dont think it was the straffes but the snipers that really hurt you you let them get sooooo many kills strafes just helped it along. At around 20 mins you had a pio capping his strat point and stopped to repair the ostwind you had 200 munis at the time and 3 cps you should have gone RA and just blown the shit out of his stuff while they crossed the bridge.
Other than that it was a great game game.
