This wire strat is really hard to pull, but once its triggered well on the left side and you manage to grab the right its gg.

See for yourself.

Edllingh had only 6 loses as Allies when he played me so i bet this strat can own anyone if done efficiently with a bit of luck and balls (yeh you need them because if you fail early the wire on the left you can lose easly).

Enjoy.
A review would be sweet.

Overview
A new strategy in Angoville which locked up the Allies advance. Axis executed very well the wiring specially with Volksgranadiers and the new h4x0r field ability. In fact, this made the battle to Axis a lot easier, because Allies could only attack right because the wires denied the left area and the Pumas were dancing in the field. The Last Stand came when an Armored Allied car destroyed the fence and started to decap the unprotected left side of the map...but it was too late, 0 victory points.
I didn't see any big mistakes from both sides, the Wire made things impossible for Allies, while Axis had all the resources.

Allies: edliingh
Started north with a well known opening strat, 2 Engineers, Barracks, Riflemen spam and after a long time, the Tank Depot. Good capping power at the beginning although forces where a little bit spread, and Engineers acted alone in the capping process specially in the Right area of the map. This made things easy for the bike & volks who went harassing.
Micro was good, specially when using granades. I saw in the left comeback a little hope spark, but the VP is VP.

What this player/team can improve upon:
  • BARs made things more complicated, but maybe they weren't used wisely. It's always a good upgrade but the fact that you lost the "close combat" 100% ownage against Volksgrenadiers...and the supression from them was useless when Volks or pioneers are supported by MGs, so it was something to take into account the next time.
  • IF you knew that the wires were your problem, why not spending in a wire cutter Engineer? *Think*

Axis: Archy
Powder at last! "Balls and huge balls big daddy", that is the name for this wire strategy. Very well executed, the MG standing in the Barracks respawn point, the volksgranadier usage...
The opening was standar, two pioneers, a Wermatch and Volksgrenadiers along with MG and moto harassing (moto nerfed?? huh?). The volks did the dirty job, while the Pioneers capped like mad. Went T1 - T3 for Armor ownage like Pumas and late StuGs, very good indeed. Mines placement also oustanding (didn't see Sandbags ohmy.gif)

What this player/team can improve upon:
  • Left side (when you finish the wiring thing and start pushing right) was like a graveyard. A lonesome MG, in the middle of the dark field, waiting...and waiting...and when the times came, BOOM HEADSHOT (sorry for that, excitement). May be a bunker? a MG standing in the wire thing? (specially in the wire near the Barracks).
  • Fuel OP. I saw your fuel, 680. I saw your manpower, 4. (mid-late game) Ooops? The fact that you spam Armor late in the game, and the OP was early after capping the side and wiring, you wasted 200 Manpower! The strategy itself didn't require Armor huge Spam, like Stugs who requries 50 fuel and an OP in a High Fuel point is a very good idea...may be you wanted to spam armor, but you realise that you didn't have to.

Thanks a lot Remox.

The thing about having fuel in the pocket is intended. Once you have 200ammo, you trigger ManPowerBlitz and gain 1000MP meaning aprox 3-4 nonstop stugs. happy.gif

Archy is devilishly clever like that biggrin.gif

Volks wire drives me loopy, it's like you can't avoid the 'shing shing' of wire going up anymore.
