This game looks like your standard armor vs blitz game but there are still quite a few interesting points: m8 mines are still uber, flamer engineers with vet 2 own things, and taking a tiger out of the game (but still alive). Have a look and maybe a review if someone has time!

Great game.

Moosnuff was so much better tactically it was sad to watch him lose.

It is funny how , perhaps unknowingly, Relic got the history part right.

Unless Germans completely crush allies in the early game, they will lose later on, no matter how tactically brilliant, just because allies seem to be able to pull out heavier stuff much faster and in greater quantity.

While Pershings do come fairly soon, that had more to do with the m8 mine usage than standard play.

Overview

An extremely entertaining game between 2 top players. This game has so many baserushes, you're always going to have some action.
Both players fiercely fought for the left side starting with early engineer and pioneer squads down. The game continued to escalate to multiple baserushes from Golradiar including halftrack and M8 rushes and had a grand finale baserush that ended the game once and for all.
You can't miss out on this game because of the M8 mines...

Allies: Golradiar (Armor)

Golradiar uses his two engineer start and wisely goes to both sides at once, splitting his engineers. However, Gol runs into trouble on the left side and loses an engineer. Gol smartly makes up for his mistake by neatly going into Moo's base and killing Moo's pioneer in return. Gol ended up losing the left side, due to not being able to have a concentrated force. However, he is able to defend from Moo's cutoff and that saves him from the game ending right there.
Gol goes for fast deployment after 2 CP's and gets his quad, AT gun, and then M8 out. Gol baserushes with the M8 and lays down the "Sweet M8 Mine of Justice Batman" (quoted from Bawx). The amount of experience gained from the mine is immense and the 7CP Pershing is born extraordinarily early.

What this player can improve upon:
  • Don't fight battles you know you can't win. I specifically refer to 3 volks + MG vs your single riflemen squad. Fighting losing battles is a manpower sink for you, and an experience gain for your opponent
  • Don't be aggressive in T1 if you're down a squad. You were slightly aggressive after losing the jeep. You should have just stuck to the left until you got your motor pool units since you had less force on the field.

Axis: Moosnuff (Blitzkrieg)

The axis player, Moosnuff, went for the typical 2 pioneer start and being on the bottom, went for the left side first. Moo combined his forces to have a single unified force early on. With that, he took the left with ease. Unfortunately, Moo followed up with a poor push to take Gol's strat point and cut him off, as Gol was able stop the attack and kill a volks squad in the process.
Moosnuff was able to get a Puma out early, but unfortunately, it was countered by Gol's AT gun, but Moo luckily gets it out of the way and it lives to fight another day.
Since Moosnuff fell so far behind CP-wise, he was unable to hold off until getting a Tiger so he had to resort to his stormtroopers which got annihilated quickly by the Pershing.

What this player can improve upon:
  • Mines around base. If you're continuously getting baserushed, a couple mines will help out tremendously to slow your opponent down.
  • Get flamers. If you're having trouble getting riflemen out of buildings, the only way to root them out early game is to use flamers.

Thanks for the review! Normally I wouldn't be so careless with the engineers, I was actually just about to retreat them but two men dying at once messed that up a bit.

Concerning aggressino when I was down a unit: it really depends, it's true that you shouldn't be overly aggressive when you have a weaker army, but by playing offensively and advancing even while in a worse position, sometimes you can intimidate your opponent into thinking that you have more power than you actually do.
