Playing americans in late game - need help

Hi guys, so today I played a game as US vs Wehrmacht, and the game went pretty good, i tried the KoreanArmy´s fast nades strategy (found it in one of Inverse´s videos), and I was happy with it, till the wehrmacht player got the King Tiger, and then the game was just heavily one sided in his favor, can you please watch the game and give me some advice on how to approach games like this? I think my doctrine choice was bad, I should have gone for armored I think but idk. Thanks for the tips smile.gif

well first of all, I liked your US gameplay until the mid game. Nades on Sturtz are debatable, but in the end vetted rifles with bars and the fast shermans did a great job.

Now we got 2 shermans and 4 bar rifles with nades and air doc, all fine so far.

He got vet 3 grens and paks. So we wanna change our gameplan at this point from trying to push him off the field to killing as many grens as possible! simply because they are very expensive to reinforce.

Whats the best way to kill vet 3 grens? well snipers ofcourse, and since we are already air doc (which is the best doc to support sniper play) that should have been the follow up to the shermans. get 2 snipers controll group them, place a couple of mines and use them to pick on as many grens as possible. If you are scared about CS just run a recon from time to time.

Also a tiny thing is, never tech bombing run before the supply drops. 100 mp for 150 ammo is just a great deal and bombing run is just a thing you use rarely vs tank clusters in your final attack.

So if you even read this essay xd, my tip for you is to take a look at the vp`s, your army and what you know from your opponents army in the end of the mid game. Then consider all those facts in your decision what to tech next. If flanking and pushing doesnt work anymore, sit back for a couple of minuits, hold your territory and get the units you want and need to decimate the wehr army more and more. US players tend to attack non stop into wehr armys until they lost all mp reserves so dont fall into that trap, u dont need to controll all sectors to win a game.

also it`s never too late to place some mines, and mg bunkers at vp`s can buy you more time wink.gif

Thank you very much for such a exhausting comment xD. Ok so I get it snipers counter vetted grens, makes sense, since they one shot even if grens have vet 3, but still, the main problem was the KT I think since I just have big problems destroying it if he uses it conservatively.

the king tiger is not a problem at all, if you have snipers in that situation where he has only grens and a KT, you won the game because the mp drain just kills the wehr for a couple of good minuits. Sticky that thing from time to time and drop At guns to keep it away. It`s more important to kill the support infantry then one big realy slow tank.
