This was a fun game. Ray handed my ass to me early due to a flaw my BO and early game, so I was prepared for him this time. Some level 2 was whining in chat about how he got paired against Ray and just lost, and right as I read that my game queued. Sure enough, my opponent capped the right VP in the first minute just like last time and I knew who I was up against.
I played my early game almost flawlessly (cept for the jeep), as did he. The map shifted back and forth and I had all his fuel on lockdown. My mistake was teching to ACs so fast to deal with his MGs (Mortars would have been wisest). I somehow managed to get full map control regardless, and then the pumas came. I was pretty damn nervous at this point because I really wanted to win and avenge my loss from earlier. Unfortunately I was so focused on my ACs that I lost a countless amount of riflemen to MGs =(. So back and forth we fight AC and Riflemen vs Puma and Volks/MG, and then I get a Caliope. Then he builds a Stug.
Amazeing game and well worth the watch. Ive seen the replay myself and noted the mistakes I made so I dont make them again. We both played very well, until i started chokeing at least =) Great game and thanks to Ray for the replay and the advice.
