Opened this game with my usual strategy of going straight for the high fuel point and attempting to hold it steadfast in order to tech quickly. StefanHaines approached the high fuel with the same vigor that I did at the start of the game, but some inter-building micro managed to force his early retreat despite massive casualties to myself.
Repeated attacks on the high fuel + VP but interestingly upon forcing me to retreat there he didn't take any of the points as a priority (just taking the strat point would have cut me off from the fuel) but instead started to encroach on my base area with several volks squads with MP40s and stolen BARs. In the end I manage to pull it together but a really great game by StefanHaines, always kept me on my toes, even though he didn't tech nearly fast enough.
At the time of posting, StefanHaines is the no. 1 ranked Axis player ( lvl 8 ) and I am...uh...lvl 3 or something. Not had retail long, but I played a lot of beta.
