Hey guys, haven't posted a replay since beta. I've been taking a pounding since retail as I've been trying to tweek the various grenadier strats to my own liking. I lean towards using Hero's Gren/Terror strat for the most part. This game was pretty intense and I had a great opponent who was 18-0 going into this match. Just looking for some tips and a review.
Thanks,[attachmentid=147120]

Sounds good, gonna review it as my second application review
"The Axis Trap"
OMGLaserBeamsPEWPEW VS Zimbu Angoville
Retail
OMGLaserBeamsPEWPEW
Building Build Order: Barracks, WSC, Supply Yard, Motor Pool, Tank Depot. Early game BO: Engy, Engy, Rifle, Jeep, Rifle, Sniper. Strat: 3 Riflemen squads, some harras with light vehicules then AT+Shermans. Retreating ratio: 63 reinf. for 138 KIA. Company: Airborne.
Pros:
Tried to flank an HMG with a jeep (lost it but NT) Used sniper to counter HMG/inf (scored some good nice kills with it). Once the sniper died used AC to counter HMG/inf. Nice retreat and cover usage. Pretty good use of your HMG, covering rifle progression and moving after axis retreats to surprise him. Nice try to take out his reinforcing squads in his base with an upped HT. Tried to set up a defensive point (AT+MG nest) to protect the West VP. Good Sherman micro against the 1st Panther.
Cons:
It's always bad to lost a sniper. Entering a building instead of retreating when a Goliath came by. Maybe should retreat faster when pinned. Deployed an HMG in front of the enemy's Ostwind. Picked up an AT gun with an Airborne squad just in front of your base, it's cheaper to make an engy squad for that purpose.
Comments:
Some mistakes (when facing the Goliath or the Ostwind) but played well, always trying to flank HMGs. The upped HT run was a good idea but you should've gone straight for repairs after this run. Some more harrass on the SP to the north of his base could annoyed him especially if you put an HMG in the building next to it (can buy you some time to take some map control). Finally you shouldn't build an OP to the fuel point but used this MP to cover the SP to the South of your base with an HMG or a sniper (it's nice to build OP on High Fuel Point, but useless if the supply line is always cut off).
Rating:4.5/10

Zimbu
Building Build Order: Wehrmacht Headquarters, Krieg Barracks, Panzer Command, Kampkraft Centre Early game BO: Pio, HMG, Volks, HMG, Volks, MC. Strat: Volks supported by HMG, gren spam and finally Ostwind+Panther. Retreating ratio: 50 reinf. for 83 KIA. Doctrine: Terror.
Pros:
Good Map Control especially of the SP to the South of his base, always harrassing it after you lost it (cutting off his supply line) Countered his sniper with a MC. Good retreats. Took out his AC with panzershreks+panzerfaust. Ostwind to counter Riflemen. A KC to upgrade inf and tanks. Very good trap at the end, using the rockets barrage from your HT and covering your AT with Ostwind.
Cons:
1st bike could retreat/repair then return to the sniper hunt instead of going in front of an MG nest. Sent your 2nd Goliath in front of an HMG (could make it to the building and blow it up but was some kind of gambling). Should run into his Sherman with your 1st Panther to avoid the circling micro. Panther vs Sherman+AT. Didnt used the cammo ability of your AT guns. No OP.
Comments:
Played well, holding n harassing the SP to the South of the Allies base was the key, nice Gren use, some nasty ideas like the Goliath or the "end game trap", nice retreating but lost some units that could be saved.
Rating:5.5/10

Match Comments: Nice game to watch, took some pleasure to review it, lot of firefights, good countering of each other's units, some nice flanking, a funny Goliath explosion and a nasty end game trap.
Entertainment rating: 5.5/10
Overall game rating: 5/10

Thanks for the review. It was a pretty fun game, and I like to build goliaths to help manage the rifle spam. That 2nd goliath was lost because my attention was elsewhere for the brief second and as a result i wasted it. Oh well.
