Were we right on the cast in guessing that Wu had choice and picked PE, and you replied by picking Brits? Is this something we need to look into as far as faction picking goes? Should the VP leader have 2 options??
1) pick a faction
or
2) reserve the right to pick 2nd after the opponent has picked
From what I've seen in these first two SNFs, I can't BELIEVE how good the balance is right now. We've seen Wehr win Semois twice. We've seen Amis win Semois twice. We've seen Axis kicking ass on Ango (I swear that was an Amis map just 2 months ago). We've seen both VP leaders lose on Langres after picking their favorite faction. Madness! In a good way

Yes that's right, he choosed PE and that's the only reason I took brit.
2) reserve the right to pick 2nd after the opponent has picked
If the VP loser can pick both his side and faction first, why not. But then I don't know if it would even be an advantage for the VP winner.
But if the VP winner can pick the side, and then even pick the faction after the other, that would give too much of an advantage and I think it's a really bad idea.
I actually don't know why you'd want to change it, both players have lost on G5 because they played badly their game. It is completely unrelated to the choice, Aimstrong WM last week was really poor on Langres, just as poor as it was on Ango the game before, while Siberian was clearly ready with US. And Wu hasn't been better yesterday. He almost had the game early on and teched completely wrong.
2) reserve the right to pick 2nd after the opponent has picked If the VP loser can pick both his side and faction first, why not. But then I don't know if it would even be an advantage for the VP winner.
So maybe VP loser may choose armies only from Axis/Allies side chosen by VP winner? Advantage of final faction choice is then on VP winner side (to counter his opponent faction choice), but most probably we won't have OF match - VP loser won't take brits (when he could choose from Allies) being scared of VP winner taking wehr as a response. And if VP loser would have a choice to take Axis then he would probably go wehr, cause if he take PE he wouldn't have such obvious advantage over his opponent who would probably choose brits as a counter (like Seb in this one), not "UP" US. This way we would have much desired vanilla Grand Finale match
