But that was Wolfheze, and this is Duclair; a lot more room for my tanks to just leave and get out of the way.
Yeah the offensive vet is crazy OP on things like Shrecks as it makes them 100% accurate vs tanks and almost 100% penetration as well. But like the whole PE arsenal, they become glass cannons. You'd need 4 man squads investment, otherwise you'll get squad wiped and might drop the shrecks for your enemies.
That video is awesome though. The PG's took almost no damage as well. Juicy target for strafe/calliope/officer arty.
They knew that they had to cut the allies off quickly and efficiently, since my entire and DOOM strategy is very strong late game. And they managed well.
The fact remains to play 2 PE is very difficult. Equally difficult, it is technically purely logical.
Quite about with mixed allies, as the previous speaker said, the strongest set up in the game.
But with that said, I am delighted with our efforts to a sick comeback.
and my Vet 3 rangers say: Whoa! Rangers lead the way and the target will be history!
Not weakness of double pe, just wrong choice of doc, luft+SE was the way to go.
The brit was AFK for 1 entire minute at the start of the game, not a promising start, and on top of that he thought he would be able to handle 2 Pe without Piats or bren. Getting only recon squads is total nonsense, and getting a stuart after you saw 2 marders is even more nonsense. You can destroy a Marder with only tommy squads, but you need an LT with 1 vet for that. So basically focus on getting vet for the LT in the first minutes, only go for stuart if you have the upperhand and most of the map.
To kill the sappers, as easy as using an AT/HT to immobilize the Command tank and mortar the shit out of it. A mortar shell while repairing will mostly wipe the entire squad.
Good comeback by the allies, but kinda painful to watch the other PE going TD, specially after seeing the recon squad blob.
I saw the youtube video where Mojo destroyed two of your tanks with TD blob. You don't hull down fireflies in front of AT infantry, it's an epic mistake, specially if you have a recon squad blob in front, if you move them back he will have to advance through your infantry, becoming less accurate and receiving even more dmg from the moving penalty. The sniping shot is kinda expensive for the low ammo income of wolfheze. 2 Cromwells with CCT and infantry support can delete this kind of blob like cockroaches. Once he sees an entire unit getting deleted in 5 seconds he will be scared of them crom's and won't be so cocky.
Allies lose entire map and get pushed into base.
Weakness of double PE vs mixed is shown here late game.
WP to axis.
