Good game. You can definitely see fatigue setting in, the intensity of the skirmishes has changed quite a bit from G1. I wish Guderian would stop being so reliant on off map combat group and spend his MP where it would be serve his purposes.

I agree you can tell it was just desperation on his part to keep calling in those useless combat groups. You actually reminded me of the most hilarious moment of the entire series, when he called his OMCG in the north of angoville and literally the entire group was ANNIHILATED within 5 seconds of entering the map. The first tank as soon as it appeared was instantly 2 shotted by a pak + tiger doing a fast double shot via special ability, and then the rest of the men were quickly obliterated in the next 5 seconds. So funny yet so sad to see such waste and such a top player being dominated in such embarrassing fashion.

while it's another distasteful piospam abuse, I have to admit the truth that Tomitoma at least used his abusive spammed Pios very wisely and played a very strategically STRONG match. I could honestly say for once that Tomitoma out thought and out strategized Guderian here. And not only that, but this was one of the strongest examples of real world actual German mechanized tactics that I've yet seen in a replay.

Tomitoma utilized mechanized support groups of Puma, Pios, Paks as one coherent unit, realistically backed up by 'artillery' which in this case were the nebels behind them. On top of this some very strong and strategically clever use of stormtroopers as further support behind enemy lines, a sort of 'special ops' insertion unit. These very strong real world tactics utterly baffled Guderians pedestrian reactive approach and led to his downfall.
Tomitoma would advance with Pios leading the way to clear any AT guns, Pumas tailing them to dispatch any infantry resistance to the Pios, and when the resistance came, Nebels would rain down hell in vast artillery assaults while Pios cleaned up then quickly regrouped and began repairing the Pumas as Guderian's tattered and scattered forces recouped in their base.
This was very tight and solid tactics done by Tomitoma that was impressive despite the one dimensional Piospam meta game, but like I said such advanced real world tactics went a ways towards redeeming that deplorable abuse behavior.

What he said, minus the abuse stuff... I don't go for all that, fair is fair in a fight!! ^^
Very nice write up of the game though with a pretty spot on analysis there mate, wubbed!
