8 StuGs, 0 contribution by them. Especially against T17's stun shot. sad.gif
Being as clumsy as they are, they just die miserably again and again against those AT guns.

I feel that arguably the best way to use StuGs is to use them as glorified self-propelled PaKs until you have 3-4 of them with vet2 at which point you can start using them for actual pushing.

I agree. They needed to be kept safe to get vetted before being used as aggressively. The action was all over the map (great to watch) and flowed well. Which was bad for the StuGs that kept getting caught out of position by rifles that were just everywhere.

Also, it was nice to see the Pershing act like a Super tank for once instead of a meat shield.

It was still a great game and pleasure to watch.

A great watch. Darwin should have tried T4 instead of making 7 or 8 useless Stugs, which did nothing except give free veterancy to riflemen.

Well, the stugs are usually great, but the stun shot made it a bit stupid, you know... In a way you can say my strategy didnt work out, bc usually Stugs+nebels destroy US motor pool. Initially I thought I can overcome sticky/stun with the rep bunker I made, but it turned out I couldnt, bc it was too much of a 1-shot 1-kill ability. As the game plays out I would go even as far as saying stun shot was the clear winner of this match. Seb had all his munis available for stickies (and stun shot, yey!), bc he went armor doc and didnt have a good way of spending it anyway. I am absolutely confident that I would have won the game, if Seb had picked M8 and not T17. I actually went T3 on purpose, bc I advised Seb to go T17 before the tourney. T17s are a great way of punishing a player who has no AT ready and killing a T2 player. But the downside is, that I knew T17s cant touch WM T3, but I didndt calculate in how good Seb is of a player and how well he will use the stun shot. ToV and OF are just gay, but this is a tourney and if gay wins, then thats "fine" and also Seb played very good. If you watch the whole of our series you can also see that we studied each others tactics before the game. Each game is the result of us knowing what we will do with the exception of this third game, where I surprised seb by going LHS of ango and rushing T3 regardless of his fuel spending (he did wsc, so i could get it faster than he could get MP). After my strong early game I had the better cards on the table, but ToV sort of ruined my plan as I lined out above. I could have probably still won it by going for defensive and flak, but I was sort of all focussed on killing Seb should he try to strafe me (look what I did to Barton). Then Seb went armor and I had already chosen a useless doctrine path, so that worked against me as well.

Pretty neat post game analysis. Watching a single replay doesn't help you to understand the chess game taking place behind the curtains, so good insight on those mental wars ^^
I used to think T17 was useless since relic fixed the burst bug after 2.50 I believe. Seeing Seb using it to its full potential kind of changed my opinion. But it still sucks vs Pumas like Darwin said and is a risky unit to use for us mortals, aka people who don't have Seb's micro skills.
