Hahah a really really fun game between me and a Tau player that lasted 30 minutes on Fallen City.

Both played pretty well I thought, and it ended up being a quite epic slugfest with free sluggas vs drone spam

Im really sorry to be pessimistic Kat, but this was most certainly not one of my favorite games to watch. (although still good enough for my wubs =) )

The tau player had a similiar style to my own, but he was not nearly aggresive enough, especially on a map like fallen city with cover on your outer points. He didnt go Tier 4, instead coalition center wtf (yes yes i know, drones bonus hp.. but the drones were doing fine already, the extra 200 hp is wasted when the enemy is already in your base)?? and he never even finished it, which was his biggest mistake. IMO hammerheads would have ripped through that kan spam, as well as annihilating your nobz considering you had no tankbusta support to speak of (also missle pods on the xv8's... theyre heavily underestimated vs orks, the range and 1k damage per hit help while harassing banners/kanz etc)

He let 3 or 4 harbingers go down to powerklawz, his spids died needlessly twice early on. He just spammed xv8's and drones, not really thinking any other strategy. And poporings comments were frustrating =P Saying ork > tau, even though this was only an example of bad tau play.
I know that effyo is a good player, but im just saying this isnt one of his best games at all. He just spammed the whole game, and didnt even micro properly, how can you hope to win?

One thing im somewhat disapointed in you kat, is that on the lower flank, he only had a single fw squad, a harbinger/drones, and a TC. a SINGLE tankbusta squad infiltrated would have annihilated that harbingers 750 hp. (would have saved you the burna bomb ) btw... GREAT burna bomb =DDD. also, EXCELLLLLENT anti-tank bigmek grenade =) that shut down almost all of those drones + the harbinger!

Some tips to improve your play against tau on this map, go 2x stormies instead of 1 big squad so you can get 2 powerklawz instead of one for relatively same price, but you can harass 2 points at once.

Dont hate me =P just things i noticed... it would berift Mart to change strategy mid-game instead of spamming over and over. Had he focussed more on getting that ethereal out, it would have been a much diffetnet game as he had the float to do it 3x over.
