Seriously never feel as hopeless as u do when u lose like this, what's there to learn from? The guy was only rank 300. I lost macha when I shouldn't have I know, i'm sure "my play" could be better but focus on the ending...my god its just silly how u cannot get an SM in t2 off your obj. Chaplain on field units never die, drop pod after drop pod to reinforce, banner shields...fun times
Heya, Im not judging skill or blaming balance firstly.
Maybe the Build-Order with Soul-Shrine wasn't optimal to begin with? instead place a ONE more REQ-Gen (maybe2?) and add anohter infantry squad ASAP? I see most of games have quiiiite a heavy T1 unit-wise and I think you could have fielded 1 more squad earlier.
He spent 15 power for each ASM + 50 for the armory + and 60 for each flamer. Thats kinda heavy power-wise, maybbe theres the long-term crux in his strategy (over 215 power). If he doesnt manage to kill your shield-gen he's screwed when you can tech-up faster.
Also: What I ve noticed, eldar players try to split their units more to avoid AOEor abilities but then reapers cannot really focus fire targets to bring stuff down, instead they get countered single-handedly (even on highskill play) and need to retreat while the overall potential of focus fire is lost. I cannot recall if that was the case in your play, just mentioning.
Also , whats kinda sick and maybe you forgot that in the heat of the battle: double bbanshe and Macha Fortune on them is crazy af. OFC then theres is this KILLTEAM, I know. Its kinda weird, and Im not sure if its balanced TBH. Maybe try that MAcha-Fortune trick as early as possibble, which means im not sure if scorpions are necessarily needed in this MU as they become more and more pointless on the long-run anyway. Ok, lets not talk about chappi, he's kickass. MAYBE he needs some fine-tuning, but as it stands, all races have sick 3 EP units......
I think your initial disadvantage snowballed you and you picked battles you should not have commited. You're a great player, work on the strategy , that's all im saying.
I am asking to just focus on the last part of the replay, where the same 3-5 squads and chaplain don't take losses and just tank threw everything. I normally don't play eldar and I beat this guy np 2 other games but to me this is something that makes me want to uninstall when this snowball effect once chaplain hits the field and SM is T2 you just get steamrolled no matter if you make hard counters to his units or not.
TLDR: I know I didn't play my best since I was just trying something out as eldar but I just want to show how insane SM can be when using support powers and chaplain this way.
