Had some games after several weeks, got 2 games vs orks, had fun, almost forgot how bad power core mode is, then got this mirror.

seriously. 100+ loses vs 30 loses, no problem, cheese for the win.

Oh, he surelly could have done the same in anihilation, but at least i could move my base to my defended side. and he would not have 2000k free requisition and 250 free power and 2 elite points for free.

You got ouplayed, mate. You spent 900 req on listening post and your opponent punished you for it by attacking elsewhere on the map with the 1000 req of units he bought instead of listening post. Moreover, you kept leaving your shield gen undefended to go attack the other side of the map without scouting and you got punished for it.

Part of playing any RTS is balancing economy with martial force. You invested heavily in static defenses, your opponent invested into units and attacked where you had no defenses. The takeaway lesson here is to not stretch yourself so thin. There are lots of ways to punish these sorts of timing pushes against shield gen/turret. You know at 4 minutes Deathwatch is going to come out, so you need to defend instead of attack.

Sure, LOTS of skill, thats why he lost 100+ units and won the game and i lost 30 and lost the game. Zero actual battle, just objective snipe with 2 point elite vs no elite. Super fun and lovely.

Lots of gameplay diversity.

Getting lps just so is never a good idea since they are so expensive. I only do it if i know that i can afford it to buy some and if the lp is really needed.

He punished your mistakes. I zoomed through at 8x and I saw you make several.

1. Building 3x LP at start of the game.

2. Not scouting the other side of the map at all.

3. Repeatedly leaving shield gen/turret undefended to attack the bottom side.

I didn't watch the whole game, but this is what I saw right off the bat. As SM you don't have the mobility to bounce back and forth so you would have been better off seizing the center of the map rather than one side of the map.

I regularly play with 4-5 point elites as my first pick and manage to survive the 2 point elite timing push, hell even the 3 point elite pushes. (Striking Scorpions sometimes surprise me though, I always forget they can turn invisible.)

That's Bigamo's standard playstyle - just buy LPs early game, have no field presence and then be dumbfounded by the loss and blame the game. He never listens, never learns, never understands, just repeat same strat over and over and whine when it doesn't work out for the umpteenth time. It simply will not work in power core gamemode.

Exactly, and thats why Power Core is bad, it is NOT possible to defend both the economy and 2 shield generators at same time, so the ONLY playstyle left is to attack the opponent and choose the ground before he attacks you.

Well, now game is dead and Relic didn't even gave itself the work to change the standart automatch to anihilation with defenses that fit the game way better and let people have diverse builds.

R.I.P DOW, i wish at least Relic had tried and never got the motherfucking AoE4 contract.

Not sure AoE4 has anything to do with DOW3 fail tbh.

It did, it's pretty clear that the game got abandoned during development. freaking amazing assets paired with super bad menus and campaign. not even a proper ladder... No observer mode at all... Compare with CoH2 were you can watch other people games in real time.

And for first patch (anihilation mode patch), Kat already said they have to borrow people from other projects, cause the project team was moved even BEFORE game release.
