[Reviewed] Eldar vs Orks fairly high level

Also showcases the strength of waiting for 5 elite points for your second hero vs using only heroes that are low EP costs.

It was a decent game. You were clearly better then your opponent though. Pretty much every fight he took was a bad one. Nice positioning from you on the higher hill. GG WP.

Some general tips:
- you underestimate the upgrades, they are quite cheap but help a lot!
- Flank his points more often. You let him have the right resource point the entire game.
- Relocate your structure before it gets destroyed. This probably is one of the strongest advantages Eldar buildings have.
- don't use your warp from your bonesinger to get somewhere faster if it is dangerous there. Use it to get out of there instead! smile.gif
- Killing his shields with 2 or 3 units would have given you some extra Elite Points. You outnumbered him, so that would've been a nice idea.
- A listening post on the middle EP generator would've helped you in the battle a lot as well.

Your main game is nice and you see you know what you are doing. Try to be more aggressive on other areas on the battlefield though. If you can pull that of as well, you'll get even better!

If the ork player is reading this as well: use WAAARGGH on your Boyz more often!

Edit: ^there you go a more friendly version (i had the comment window up while watching)

Okey first off you titled this game "fairly high level" when it's clearly not. The
game was alright and I thank you for posting, but it was a quite misleading and disappointing to watch. Pretty much nobody's pro (except the truly gifted) this early after release. So please think about that next time you upload.

Nevertheless thanks for posting. I always enjoyed watching replays. Did so since DoW Dark Crusade. So this is probably sound a littel harsh but from critique comes improvement and that was always a plus, for me at least.

What I noticed: I like how you disengaged your banshees their shields went down. In the first few seconds you could have build your warrior portal while capping with your inital bonesinger, then teleported the warrior portal where you built it in the first place. You didnt even attempt to teleport your warrior portal when it was destroyed. You lost your striking scorpions a few seconds after deploying because of overextention in front of the ork base. Your opponent didnt seem like he knew a lot about the game. He was floating multiple times around +1000 req. He ignored your one remaining dire avenger when you didn't to do anything with him around min 8:25, and you kinda seemed to foret about that unit yourself for half a minute. You almost lost scorpions again at 09:10. You were floating 1000 req. at some point, which should never happen. Your opponent sacrificed his entire army into you at min 13 while floating immensely himself. He focused on deff lootas in the mid game who are probably the worst thing you could do against such a mobile eldar army, he didnt try to engage your indiviual squads especially your reapers in melee. He built no nob squads and just fed you more trukks. Overall you honestly kinda dominated him, because he never even tried to capture more than his two initial req points. You had map control throught the whole game.

Thanks!

I always think about getting upgrades, but they're really not that cheap. I can't currently see why I'd get, say, 15% damage instead of using that 50 power towards T2 so I can get wraith guards.
I'll definitely try to flank more. Just thought it was more appropriate to use my units to guard my snipers while they harassed his units.
I tried to set my bonesinger to repair the building, didn't go through somehow. But yeah, mismicro.
I am confused about this build order you're suggesting. From what I tried bonesingers can't build AND cap at the same time, they have to go out of the circle to get close enough to build.
Fair enough, but bonesingers are cheap and expendable. Sometimes I use them just to scout bushes or get detection super quickly. Losing a bonesinger is a good tradeoff for not getting dicked by invisible units.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment so thoroughly on it, thanks! I'm always trying to improve.
