Obs vs. Wipul 1v1 - How to be annoying

QoT vs. pre-ladder reset #1 ranked Erebus

My minion grinder build against a high ranked Erebus. It's 40 minutes and there's no kills, though there were some close calls. If you are sick of all those other games that are bogged down with interesting, dramatic moments in which needlessly violent people kill each other, if you're the kind of person that likes to watch someone kill minions and heal for 40 minutes, this is the replay for you!

In all seriousness though I played this game to show that QoT just needs a few bug fixes and minor buffs to make her truly competitive, though some skills do need to be reworked to ensure she has more than one viable build with slight variations. Also I hope that this video will blunt some of the criticism of Mulch, which is absolutely one of the most powerful abilities in the game.

Note that while this effective 1v1, in team play QoT's durability skills will not handle multiple opponents so handily and her low HP can be a liability.

Is Erebus officially dethroned as the 1v1 champ? I don't know how QoT will do against a Horn build. If she can beat that, then it seems like a new format in the game without GPG even doing anything to cause it. First Sedna was dethroned, now maybe Erebus. Very interesting what people will come up with even 6 months after a game's launch.

This is the reason why I love replays. I would never have picked a QoT against an LE. wow, thats real competitive game. After watching this, Im gonna start to learn how to play her effectively. Although I must say that u really master the mulch skill. U used it to lvl and completely ignored flags in the begining of the game. +1 Man

The best part was "We have fiiiiiirst bloood !!" @ min 39:51 lol

Very nice show of QoT healing abilities !
But also a very nice proof that Queen cant kill, The strat to totally ignore warrank doesent make much sense to me, if i would be ur opponent and realize u dont cap flags. I would try to make an advantage out of.

Anyways, it needs BALLLZ to play a top Erebus on Prison in 1vs1 ! You got some Ballz.

QoT's kill capacity is definitely hurt by her autoattack issues. Currently shamblers cannot correctly close distance to engage stationary or fleeing units. You can see I struggle to get them into range of towers, forts, and the citadel in this replay. That has a dramatic impact on her ability to finish opponents and consequently on my playstyle.

However, bear in mind Erebus didn't get any kills that game either and few people would conclude that it's because EB can't kill. Wip played very well and didn't give me opportunities to finish him, not to mention EB is one of the most elusive DGs. Additionally I picked up ground spikes which is a much weaker finisher than spike wave because it became clear the only way I could end the game was by tearing down the citadel with autoattack.

First, congratulations!

I've played against many Minion Erebus in the 1vs1 ESL ladder as QoT (and won only a few matches), and this one is one of the worse Erebus. This might be because he never fought a QoT before.

Playing against bad opponents (he might be good against other DGs) does not make the QoT as good as you think.

If you want a real challenge, play against Yzerman25.
I really wanna see that replay. wink.gif

A few tips on QoT:

Shield yourself at the Crystal in the beginning (=free Shield).
Do not summon Shamblers until skill level 2, it's too expensive.
Do not buy Plenor before Vlemish, it gets you far less mana/sec.

All Great points to help improve your play. Personally, I love casts that are free b/c of the mana crystal..
