Rules and Formalities
Event Format
The tournament will be split into 3 stages. Each stage will have their own rules and formats which are explained below.
Note: Random will be included in the limited faction ruling which means players will have the option of playing random once per series.Qualifier Stage:
To qualify for the main event you must win one of the 4 wildcard tournaments or get a high placement in the February Ladder Wars. There will only be 32 spots available in this tournament therefore every player will have to fight for a spot.
Ladder Wars Entry: The Ladder Wars will start on the 1st of February and will end on the 28th of February. At the end of the season every player who participated for the Ladder Wars will be able to sign-up to the group stages. The players will be granted entry based on their ladder ranking until we have 28 players signed up. In the event that the sign-ups are full and a player with a higher ranking signs up, the lowest ranked player will be removed from the sign-up list. Sign-ups will be open until March 5th 2018.
Wildcard Tournament Entry: During February we will host 4 wildcard tournaments. Each tournament will have a slightly altered rule set. The player who comes first will be added to the Decade Cup and will then be seeded based on their ladder wars seeding. If a player wins 2 wildcard tournaments then the position will be given to the 2nd place person.
The Wildcard Tournaments are the following formats:

Signing-up and checking in
Please note commanders, letting someone else play in your name in an event is treated as cheating by gamereplays and will be punished accordingly. The fixed penalty for a first offence cheat conviction prescribed by the site rules is a 28 day suspension from gamereplays. The penalty for a second offence is a permanent ban. Take good notice that sharing account details with a banned member or player is likely to result in an indefinite suspension or permanent ban from C&C:Online. Don't do it!If referees or commentators want to observe your game,
you must open a slot for them.
Not letting commentators or referees in may result in you getting disqualified from the tournament. In the Round of 8, 4, 3rd Place Play-offs and Grand Final the allocated commentator must stream every game.
Map pool
The map pool will be revealed closer to the tournament for each stage of the event.
Medals
With the introduction of Gamereplays revamped medal system, we will now be handing out Medals to players who participate in our events! The two medals we will be handing out are the Tournament Winners Medal and the Tournament Participation Medal. To gain the Tournament Winners Medal, you just have to win a tournament. To gain a Participation Medal, you must participate in all rounds of the tournament until you are eliminated (this includes the 3rd place playoffs.)
Result Reporting and Replays
After the winner of each round has been determined, it is the responsibility of the
winning player to report the victory to a referee and to post the result and the replay(s) in the specified results thread. Players may not proceed to play their next round unless and until the replays (both defeats and victories) from the previous rounds have been uploaded to gamereplays.org as directed by the tournament rules or staff.
Conduct at the Event
Players are expected to assist in the conduct of the event. Accordingly, conduct which tends to disrupt the event, including a failure to follow the instructions of the tournament manager or staff, interrupting or intervening in announcements made by the tournament staff or discourteous or disruptive conduct generally may result in forfeiture, sanction or disqualification from the tournament or future tournaments.
Players or individuals that disrupt or attempt to disrupt the event may be kicked off line and banned from return during the course of the event or future events. The decision of the tournament manager on all matters concerning the conduct and outcome of the tournament is final and not open to debate. Questioning any such decision is likely to be treated as disruptive conduct.
Delaying one's own defeat in a game where defeat is inevitable and there is no tactical advantage to the delay may be considered bad sportsmanship and treated as such.
