Speed and Subterfuge: The Arsenal of Traveler-59

Structures


How to read this page: The values for each structure were obtained from the 1.02 Kane's Wrath XML files. The armor percentages indicate the percentage of damage the structure takes from each damage type. Something with 75% cannon armor takes 75% damage from a weapon that deals cannon damage.

Drone Platform

The Drone Platform is the center of a Traveler-59 base, providing facilities for the construction of structures, ground control for placing structures, and radar. A Drone Platform can be packed up into a Drone Ship at any time and moved to a new location for redeployment. Selling a Drone Platform yields 1750 credits, an Assimilator and a Buzzer.

Drone Platform expansion
Expanding by moving one's Drone Platform is often safer and more efficient than using an Explorer.


Reactor

Reactors generate the energy needed by all Traveler-59 structures to function properly. Inexpensive and lightly armored, they are often targeted first, particularly in bases that depend on large amounts of turrets for defense.

Upgrades:

Fusion Core: When a Nerve Center is present on the battlefield, Reactors can be upgraded to mount Fusion Cores and generate 20 additional power. This upgrade must be applied individually to each Reactor. It costs $400 and takes 10 seconds to install a Fusion Core.


Extractor

Tiberium Extractors process raw Tiberium extracted from the ground by harvesters, turning the crystals into valuable credits for use by Traveler-59. Expensive and power-hungry, they are nevertheless central to most Traveler-59 bases. Thanks to their extreme dependence on Tiberium, Traveler-59 can hold infinite amounts of Tiberium in their Extractors. Extractors return $500 when sold.

Portal

The Portal allows the summoning of Traveler-59 infantry, from Buzzers to Assimilators to Shock Troops. Whatever the case, any and all Traveler-59 infantry emerge from the Portal ready for combat.

Portal Sell
Selling your Portal in the early game after training an Assimilator for capturing a tech structure returns some early resources and a Buzzer scout.


Warp Sphere

Warp Spheres are used to summon Traveler-59 vehicles. As higher levels of technology are researched, more advanced vehicles become available. Warp Spheres also have three repair drones that automatically repair damaged vehicles in close proximity to the Warp Sphere. The Warp Sphere can also repair Drone Ships that are nearby, but only if the repair is ordered manually.

Reconstruction Drones: For a modest fee of $1500 credits, Traveler-59 can activate a flock of 10 Reconstruction Drones anywhere on the map that function similarly to the drones on a Warp Sphere by repairing nearby Traveler-59 vehicles. The drones last 1:00. This power takes 1:30 to recharge.


Nerve Center

The Nerve Center provides the necessary technological framework to support more advanced Traveler-59 vehicles, as well as to unlock a wide array of support powers.

Ichor Seed: Additional Tiberium can be seeded down directly onto the ground, returning an excellent investment of $3150 on the $1000 needed to activate this power. Ichor Seed takes 3:20 to recharge.

Lightning Spike: Scrin Foremen can summon a Lightning Spike structure that arcs deadly bolts of energy at opponents. A Lightning Spike costs $1500 and takes 2:00 to recharge.

Infestation: The designated Tiberium field is infested with a menacing hive that damages all units, friend or foe, that enter the Tiberium field. Infestation costs $1000 and takes 2:00 to recharge.

Tiberium Vibration Scan: Tiberium Vibration Scan allows the detection of all Tiberium-based lifeforms and structures on the entire map, including human Refineries and Harvesters. It costs $300 and takes 1:00 to recharge.

Gravity Stabilizer

Plasma Disc Launchers: Shock Troops gain additional firepower and the ability to target aircraft when fitted with Plasma Disc Launchers. This upgrade costs $1500 and takes 0:45 to research.

Technology Assembler

Technology Assemblers are where the most powerful Traveler-59 technologies are integrated to form terrifying weapons of war, from the iconic Annihilator Tripods to the lethal Devastator Warships. Additional upgrades and support powers are also made possible by the presence of a Technology Assembler.

Traveler Engines: Traveler Engines add 30% speed to Devastator Warships and Planetary Assault Carriers. This upgrade costs $1500 and takes 0:45 to research.

Shard Launchers: The plasma discs of Plasma AA Batteries and Seekers can be switched to far more dangerous Tiberium shards accelerated at high velocity to puncture armor and rip through flesh. Shard Launchers cost $2500 and take 1:15 to research.

Phase Field: The affected vehicles are partially phased into another dimension. While they can still move at will, they cannot fire or be damaged by enemy fire. Phase Field lasts for 0:40 and costs $1500 to use, with a cooldown of 3:00.

Phased Harvesters
Harvesters protected by Phase Field can still harvest and unload Tiberium.

Temporal Wormhole: Traveler-59 can use a Temporal Wormhole to slow the movement of enemy units down to 25% and lower their rate of fire by 50%. Production structures caught in the radius take 50% longer to build. The Temporal Wormhole lasts 30 seconds. This power costs $1200 and takes 6:00 to recharge.


Signal Transmitter

The Signal Transmitter allows the summoning of several extraterrestrial support powers to directly impact an engagement, ranging from Wormholes to Tiberium-laced asteroids to the game-ending Mothership.

Overlord's Wrath: The might of the Scrin invasion is displayed by hurling down a series of successively larger Tiberium-laced asteroids that slam into the ground with devastating impact. This power costs $4000 and takes 7:00 to recharge.

Overlord's Wrath
Overlord's Wrath can also be used to deliver Tiberium to your own base in a similar manner to Ichor Seed, as it delivers $4645 worth of Tiberium that also regenerates, which is more money relative to its cost, particularly if it is given time to grow.

Wormhole: The Wormhole allows Traveler-59 forces to be transported between two different locations, arriving at their destination nearly instantaneously. However, enemy forces can also use the Wormhole, which lasts for 0:25. The Wormhole costs $2000 and takes 4:00 to recharge.

Mothership: For the incredible price of $5000, a Mothership can be deployed. This massive vessel can obliterate entire bases with its Catalyst Cannon, though it is incredibly slow and only can only fire on targets directly below it. Summoning a Mothership will sound an audible alert to all players, and though the Mothership is well armored, it takes a long time to transit anywhere on the map. This power has a cooldown of 2:30.


Foundry

Foundries provide an additional build queue for Traveler-59, but cannot construct defenses, Explorers, the Warp Chasm, or the Rift Generator.

Warp Chasm

The Warp Chasm allows for the creation of the mighty Eradicator Hexapod. It is otherwise identical to a Traveler-59 Warp Sphere, with all of the capabilities of the other structure as well, except that it does not grant access to Reconstruction Drones.

Traveler-59 trades the Stasis Shield for Temporal Wormhole and Forcefield Generators for Traveler Engines. They also gain Advanced Articulators and have the Blink Packs upgrade pre-researched.
