Is it so much better to repair my mvc with a engi? it will slowdown my 3rd refinery build. I would have done a engi if he had more units and could have killed my mvc.
I'am still learning so any suggestions are welcome.

Think of it this way, you spend $1000 for a barracks and 1 engi to repair your MCV is better than having to repair your MCV and have it take forever, becasue you never know what to expect, there might be some pits coming to attack your MCV, or a flame tank, trust me its worth building a barracks and engi, all the pro players do it.

LOL "some pits" are not gonna take down a half health MCV. Engi is better because it costs less.
What's the cost of repairing half health of an MCV? I always saw engies as a quick fix when I know a structure would otherwise fall, not when it may or may not happen in a scenario where 99% of the time no one even cares to attack it.

when a 1/4 health of mvc repair with engi is $750 repair with repair tool is around $1500
