I think this game was pretty much decided by the right side's superior MCV placement at the start. My side (left) gave up access to the huge ore patch and then Polaris had to repeatedly move his only MCV which really hurt us in what I thought should have been a balanced game. Funny thing is the Newbie spec gets it all wrong. Props to JoePlayer for some solid harassment/damage despite probably being somewhat new to the game.
Yeah first off you should have politely asked the spec to shut the buck up. I think it's ok giving some careful advice that doesn't spoil the match but he just went off the rails, especially in the mid-game.
Not much you could have done I think. IMO, middle-position (Polaris) should move earler, no later than after the first ore ref. The role of the side positions is a little more obscure but I think bottom-position (fritz) had no business contending the bottom right ore in the early game. His position should open the big ore patch to the team, support the middle position and if possible contend for a position towards middle between himself and the bottom-right hostile player in the mid-game. In your position (north) you can either turtle up and support middle/tech up etc. or try to contend early for that east position. There are alternatives off course but I feel that's a good starting point for beating this map.

Yeah i was way to focused on the game to even chat/read what he was saying, only really saw it when I replayed.
I agree with your strategy - bottom has to be the big spender, definitely supporting mid and even a bit top if possible, which didn't happen. Too many defense structures that weren't useful early as well I think. Thanks for the comment SoScared.
