FileFront.com will be closing their shop. Reasons given are that due to the current economical situation they are forced to suspend the site. The economy seems to affect businesses and companies, online and in the real world alike.
This is a big loss for the gaming community.
FileFront gave gamers an easy way to share files such as replays, demos, mods and more next to giving developers an easy way to host their patches. Free file sharing is not an easy thing to come by these days.
FileFront also had a large community active in their forums that will now have to disperse and find a new site to chat on, as well as host their stuff. Even though the owners say the site will be suspended, it is unlikely that they will ever return. The owners ask everyone to download any replays, photos, demos or any other files that they want or need as soon as possible because once the site goes down they will no longer be available.
