The Burst Drone is the Empire of the Rising Sun's early game scouting unit. This small dragonfly looking robot can get around the map pretty quickly and is a good way to spy on your enemy and find out what he is up to. The Burst Drone can also attach itself to your units, slowing them down. Placing these on your opponents ore collectors is one of the best ways to hurt is economy.
The Burst Drone's secondary ability is the reason it is called the "burst" drone. Once attached to units or aircraft you can order it to explode dealing damage to the unit that it exploded on. This is very effective if your opponent does not build anti-air and a good quick way to destroy a ore collector right of the start.
