By Inspector RaGe - 14th June 2017 - 01:35 AM

Greetings Comrades, Red3.org and GameReplays are proud to announce the next 2v2 event:

IPB Image

Like all tournaments we run it will be on C&C: Online.

You will need to be set up with C&C: Online, so make sure you do that before the day of the tournament. Remember, GameReplays is not the place to get help with C&C: Online. Head to the Revora support forums for help with C&C: Online.

Date, Time and Location

This event will be on SATURDAY June, 24th beginning at 14:00 GMT/ 16:00 CEST. We will meet in the Tournaments 01 lobby immediately after you check-in. Time differences can be cross-checked using the timer on the home Page.

The total prize pool for this event is 65$ and is sponsored by Inspector RaGe The first place prize is 50$ (25$ each) and there will be a random draw of $15 awarded to a single participating player.

The prize pool will only pay out if we have 8 participating players (4 full teams). If the prize pool does not pay out, all donations will roll over to the next applicable event.
Since there's apparently confusion, yes, you do have to play all your matches to be eligible for any prize. Anyone who forfeits, is disqualified or does not properly participate, will not be eligible for any prize.

All prizes are in USD and will be transferred via PayPal. If we cannot transfer the money to you, then we will work with you on how you want your winnings handled.

Map pool and Elimination

We will be using the 1.12.5 version of the maps for this event.

The first map of every round will be Pool Party. Losing team picks from the maps listed in the pool below and cannot pick the same map twice in any round. Factions, including random, must be chosen before the map and cannot be changed afterward. If the factions are changed after map choice then the team that picked can choose to counter pick factions or change the map.

  • Pool Party 1.12.5
  • Hostile Hostel 1.12.5
  • Battlebase Octopon 1.12.5
  • Rock Ridge 1.12.5
  • Cold Showdown 1.12.5

If we have at least 8 teams, this event will be a SINGLE ELIMINATION. All rounds will be BO3 up to the Finals which are a BO5.

If we have 7 teams or less then the format will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION. The winner's bracket will be a BO3 format until the WB finals, which will be a BO5. Loser's bracket will be a BO1 until the LB finals which will be BO3 and the Grand Finals will be also be a BO5. Keep in mind that the WB finalists have to be beaten twice or can arrange for a 1 point advantage f both parties agree in order to save time.

Fair Play

All general Fair Play Rules apply. If a reminder is necessary, you will be disqualified if you use any of the bugs or exploits.

1. Empire's Sudden Transport glitch.
2. Allies placing structures around an outpost before it is finished deploying.
3. Peacekeeper splash damaging walled structures.
4. Dolphin splash damaging land structures.
5. The "Mini-MCV" bug in its entirety!
6. Intentional DCs or game crashing.
7. Invisible infantry glitch.
8. Dropping Tengus on buildings intentionally.
9. Building structures on top of infantry.
10. Stacking Tengus to allow for mass point defense drones.

All you need to do to register for this tournament is to post your team name and the in-game names of the team members (and substitute if applicable) in the registration topic linked below. Only register if your team is going to be able to show up on the day of Registration officially closes at 13:30 GMT on June 24th.

The check-in period will be between 13:00 and 13:55 GMT (opens 1 hour prior to event start time), after that point the brackets will be drafted and made official. There will be an official check-in thread that will open at 13:00. To check-in: the team captain simply posts in the check-in thread and include your in-game team name.. If you check in your team and one or both players don't participate, you may be banned from any Red3.org tournaments between June 24th and July 24th. If you can't play, don't check-in, if you can't check-in, don't register. Only teams that are registered will be allowed to check-in. Only checked in teams will be in the bracket. If you have a situation that would cause you to not be able to check-in, but you can still participate then message Inspector RaGe.
You will have 15 minutes to begin your games after the brackets are posted. Brackets will likely be posted by 14:05, but this depends on how late players check-in. You must start your games by 14:20 or you will be disqualified.

Substitutes and Free Agents

Substitutes are allowed but you must register them as such before registration closes. Only one player can serve as a substitute for one team. A substitute player can not be registered as a player to another team. Once substitute players are called in they must play for the remainder of the tournament unless otherwise specified by a referee. If you wish to swap a player with a substitute then it must be done before a round starts. You can not substitute players during a round. Free agents can register as such and we'll try our best to team you with someone (feel free to do so yourselves with other free agents) or at the very least can act as a substitute for an other team.

Although live streams and casts are part of GameReplays.org events, the referee reserves the right to deny it under the extreme circumstance that it renders the match unplayable for either player. Failure to comply can lead to a match forfeit or disqualification. Also, staff reserves the right to request the replays as completed at any time.

As always, match-ups will be completely random as the seeds will be shuffled shortly after officially closing check-ins, so make sure you are viewing the official bracket before starting your matches.

If you're early then you're on time, if you're on time then you're late and if you're late you're disqualified! There is simply no fun in sitting around waiting on people so 15 minutes is the max allowed. If you need to take a break inform your opponent and the ref. At most five minute breaks will be allowed if needed. One break per round per player. If a player is found to be abusing this freedom or failing to inform the necessary parties or not returning on time you will be disqualified at referee discretion.

You can use Wmm's Replay Tool to automatically save your replays.
