The match opens up with a quad dojo start for the empire player, this enables him to get his hands on both of the oil derricks from the get-go although this is met by rip-jav (javelins in riptides) which is able to safely transport the allied engineers and successfully recapture both of the oil derricks. The allied player having gone for an unconventional build order with a fast naval yard to get the riptides out quicker transitions into an airfield.

First tengus start coming out of the empire player as the allied MCV positions itself in the middle of the map. Rip-jav defends the allied prospectors from tengu harassment while the vindicators clean up the single tengus. A small period of air engagements ensues but soon both players get tier 2. The empire player starts pumping out tsunami tanks but it is futile in the face of the cryocopters that emerge on the field for the allied player. Ultimately the lack of anti-air spells doom for the empire player as he isn't able to repel the cryocopter threat.
