General Hero Changes
- Mini-hero hordes:
- can no longer be buffed (except by their own abilities where applicable) or debuffed;
- special abilities now last for their specified durations;
- no longer heal and respawn members of nearby battalions;
- heal rate increased to 15 health / second (from 30 health every 5 seconds);
- now heal and respawn from level two (rather than level three);
- experience level-up requirements reduced to 80 / level (from 90 / level).
- Hero Aggressive Stance armor penalty reduced to -25% (from -43%).
- Heroes can no longer fire arrows from within towers unless they specifically have a basic ranged attack.
- Many heroes are now disabled for 1-2 seconds after using certain abilities, particularly Blademaster-style hero buffs, to close the window where moving them would prevent activation of the power but still trigger the recharge.
- Heroes now have standard build times, command point requirements, experience requirements, and experience awards based on cost:
- Cost < 1100: 40s build time, 50 cp, requirements 50-100-200-300-400-500-700-900-1100, awards 15-20-25-30-35-40-45-50-60-75;
- Cost 1100-1400: 50s build time, 60 cp, requirements 50-100-200-300-500-700-900-1100-1500, awards 20-25-30-35-40-45-50-60-75-100;
- Cost 1500-2000: 60s build time, 70 cp, requirements 50-100-200-400-600-800-1000-1300-1700, awards 30-35-40-45-50-60-75-90-105-125;
- Cost 2100-2900, Gimli, Mordor Khamul/Morgomir: 70s build time, 80 cp, requirements 100-200-300-500-700-900-1100-1500-2000, awards 35-40-45-50-60-75-90-105-125-150;
- Cost > 2900, Gandalf, Elrond, Thranduil, Saruman, Rogash: 80s build time, 100 cp, requirements 100-200-400-600-800-1100-1400-1800-2200, awards 40-45-50-60-75-90-105-125-150-175.
- Hero revival costs standardized to 75% of the hero's build cost (illogical revival cost fluctuations resolved).
- Tough hero armor (in 2.02, used by Boromir, Aragorn, Gloin, Dain, Gimli, Azog, Morgomir) slash resistance reduced to 20% (from 15%).
- Hero revival times now 2.5x the hero's buildtime.
- Ring Heroes:
- build time decreased to 180s (from 300s);
- pierce resistance decreased to 10% (from 5%);
- hero damage resistance increased to 50% (from 100%);
- death explosion blast damage increased to 2000 magic (from 500 magic);
- now immune to Cripple and paralyzing weapons (e.g. Soul Freeze);
- no longer classed as infantry; can no longer be healed by effects that do not specifically heal all heroes.
- Galadriel:
- speed increased to 65 (from 55);
- health increased to 7500 (from 5000);
- 300 siege damage added with a 40% damage scalar vs. heroes;
- now feared by units (like Sauron);
- Terrible Fury Palantir image fixed (instead of sharing Sauron's), now has a unique FX effect;
- how has an animation when summoning Tornado.
- Sauron:
- temporarily casts Darkness when recruited;
- health decreased to 10000 (from 15000);
- no longer classified as a monster - i.e. certain abilities like Beast Slayer no longer deal unreasonable damage to him;
- hero knockback added;
- preattack delay decreased to 1000 (from 2000);
- delay between shots increased to 1833 (from 500);
- firing duration decreased to 1833 (from 3667);
- damage decreased to 1000/1000 magic/siege (from 2000/2000 magic/siege);
- attack exploit removed.
