Naval Combat
  • Ships can no longer be buffed or debuffed.

    • cost increased to 200 (from 100);

    • speed increased to 100 (from 70);
    • default armor increased to 10% (from 50%);

    • evil ship Pirate Flags damage bonus reduced to +50% (from +100%);
    • delay between shots now always 10 (from 10-500);
    • clip reload time increased to 166 (from 100);
    • acceptable aim delta decreased to 75 (from 180); internal archers now require line of sight;
    • internal archers turn radius halved to 12 (from 24); turn time reduced to 2s (from 3s); now take .1s to brake from full speed (from 1s);
    • scalar vs. Shipwrights decreased to 10% (from 1%);
    • turn time increased to 4s (from 2s);
    • now takes 3s to accelerate to or brake from full speed (from 1s);
    • good ship heavy armor cost 300 (from 200);
    • default armor increased to 25% (from 50%);
    • siege armor reduced to 75% (from 50%);
    • health increased to 1200 (from 1000).

    • cost increased to 1000 (from 500);

    • damage increased to 75 (from 25);
    • 75% damage scalar vs. heroes added;
    • Evil battle ships now have a 33% damage scalar vs. structures;
    • default armor increased to 25% (from 50%);
    • siege armor reduced to 75% (from 50%);

    • Storm Ship Whirlpool:
      • duration decreased to 6.5s (from 10s);
      • inner damage radius decreased to 60 (from 100);
      • outer damage radius decreased to 175 (from 190);
      • inner damage increased to 140 (from 80).
    • Doom Ship Explosion:
      • inner damage radius decreased to 150 (from 200);
      • inner damage increased to 3000 (from 1000);
      • middle damage radius damage increased to 900 (from 750);
      • outer damage radius damage increased to 600 (from 500);
      • middle/outer damage no longer damages Shipwrights;
      • evil ship Pirate Flags damage bonus reduced to +50% (from +100%).

    • evil ship Pirate Flags damage bonus reduced to +50% (from +100%);
    • delay between shots increased to 12s (from 5s);
    • Corsair Ship: preattack delay decreased to 266 (from 333); projectile now fires much higher into the air;
    • hit percentage decreased to 25% (from 100%); scatter radius 120; (this is different from BFME II's predetermined hit points);
    • half of damage now done in radius 30; other half remains dealt in radius 50;
    • 1% damage scalar vs. Shipwrights removed;
    • default armor increased to 25% (from 50%);
    • siege armor reduced to 75% (from 50%);
    • good ship heavy armor cost 300 (from 200);
    • turn time increased to 5.5s (from 2s);
    • now takes 4.5s to accelerate to full speed and 3s to brake from full speed (from 1s).
