Angmar Build Orders

Double Hall Start

Mill->Mill->HotKM->Mill->Thrallmaster->Mill->Thrallmaster->HotKM->Thrallmaster->Thrallmaster

A simple build that can be followed up by many things after 1-2 more Mills:
  • A 3rd HotKM, recommended vs. Goblins and Angmar
  • A TaWD either as emergency reaction in case there's a high amount of archers or as a cav surprise when most players wont expect Wolfriders anymore so you can do crittical damage during a big attack
  • A Temple of Twilight, recommended vs. all good factions and opponents who tend to play with one big army
  • Hwaldar, recommended vs. Mordor, Elves, Men and Dwarves
  • Black Numenorians, usefull vs. Men, Dwarves, Isen and Angmar

Fast 2nd Hall

The more aggressive version of the 1st build that is designed to overwhelm your opponent with pressure early on. It has the same transition possibilities aswell.
recommended vs. Dwarves, Goblins and Mordor.


Fast Hall

Mill->HotKM->Mill->Thrallmaster->Thrallmaster->Mill->Thrallmaster->HotKM or TaWD

This build is ideal if you want to grab fast control over a neutral structure or if you think you can catch your opponent off-guard with a rush. This is also good to creep some weaker lairs quickly while your first Gundabads keep the opponent busy. A TaWD follow-up is recommended vs. MotW, Elves and Isengard, vs. all others a 2nd HotKM is better.


Wolfrider Build

Mill->Mill->HotKM->Mill->Thrallmaster->Mill->Thrallmaster->TaWD->Thrallmaster->Dire Wolves->Wolfriders->Thrallmaster

This build is ideal to obtain early map control and to crush your opponent's first attempts to do damage with some good micro. If you dont have to summon Wolfriders because there's no incoming swords yet then invest the money into more Thralls and Direwolves so their production doesnt have to be interrupted.
This build is recommended vs. MotW, Elves and Isengard.


Sorcerer Build

Mill->Mill->HotKM->Mill->Thrallmaster->Mill->Thrallmaster->Temple->Thrallmaster->Thrallmaster-> Sorcerers

This build requires a defensive play until the Sorcerers are out, because you're only going to have a few Thrall battalions to work with. The Sorcerers themselves can be upgraded with either Soulfreeze right away to freeze parts of the enemy army so you only have to fight a few battalians at a time or with Well of Souls, which is especially useful when used on units in front of the enemy production buildings, which can be damaged by the Wights.
