Daryl:
- Your start is a bit slow. Try reading this.
- You chased that first orc batt for too long I think. Your SoG batt could have been sent across the ford to do damage. You had archers on the way, so those orcs weren't a huge problem.
- You engage a battle with 3 SoG + 1 archer vs orc warriors/archers and Gothmog. Very obviously you lost eco and exp wise in this confrontation. Also, it was close to his base and your guys are faster. Send at least 1 batt away to harass, if not everything (maybe retreat archers).
- You can't allow Mordor to have his first 3 farms become lvl3 farms.
- You're right about Black Riders, they're super scary. Boromir's horn works wonders vs them though. You bought Aragorn at some point but could have had Boromir and then some.
- Keep Eomer and your Rohirrim summon together.
- Really? Gandalf? You were doing well in the first part of the game. But by the point you get Gandalf, you were clearly lagging behind to much eco-wise (525 cp) to go for a hero like that. Nice wizard blast on Easterlings though, leveling him up to level 3 instantly.
- A marketplace couldn't have hurt at some point.
Premier:
- I guess you know, but you had the economic upper hand early, and you decide to go for Gothmog. You needed more units at that point. Try making 2 extra pits (you only had 2), and get black orcs from a lvl2 one.
- I'm not sure spamming those haradrim lancers at that stage was a good idea. He had eomer and cav (you knew), which is clearly superior. Rather save for more orc+easterling spam, haradrim archers, fellbeast or black riders.
- Daryl did better expanding on the flanks, despite your army being 'spammier'.
- Place lumber mills as close as possible to trees, they earn significantly more money that way. (you had to purchase like 5 extra workers now)
- You had plenty of ways to get leadership, and didn't use eye of Sauron for a while. Try scouting his farms with it, then your harassment will be much better.
- Try to evade Tom Bombadil. I know it sucks, but he earned your opponent some serious PPs for that sonic song.
- Don't idle with spells like Barricade. Just spawn it somewhere (near a a ford, or on an occupied flank).
- You had a lvl3 siege works (because BR). If you're going heavy on black orcs+easterlings, it might be handy to invest in forged blades. Use them like torches on wildmen. Ie. do not upgrade all your units, just when they get to your enemy's base. This can transform any harassing party into a huge, immediate threat (possibly take some PBs or a fortress even).
- Your opponent had 4 leveled up farms near his base (you saw them). You could have taken them if you just sent in your Black Riders at some point.
- Once Gandalf is out, definitely get upgrades.
Pretty decent game. Both players did expand and harass. Nobody got to 1000CP, I don't think.
Also: I loved MoS crushing some lvl5 archers, immediately leveling up 2x xD

Just my second 1v1 on RotWK here, I definetely need to improve so that's why I'm uploading this. I think I played a bit sloppy with my Ara and Fara and also running with my cav in to pikes several times. But I'd like to improve myself considering 1v1 so any remarks or tips & tricks (considering the match up maybe) are very welcome. Also, I dont know if there is any reviewer on RotWK, but if so, a kind of review would also be cool
I think Black Riders are a real pain in the ass though and also barricades are a bit to strong (too much hp?) but anyways it was a pretty nice game.
Also cheers to the nice community hehe, it's quite a difference with bfme2 lol
