It's a fairly short game, and i need a proper review on this. Why? Because ive been recommended a spider start vs Isen, if they go wildmen, and it just seems so OP. Maybe someone has a good tac for countering it? We went random after this game, and actually ended up switching factions. I started wargs, which seemed fine. But it only prolonged the game a while, maybe i have to harass harder..

Will watch.
Isen with wildmen start will still usually go uruk pit after 3rd farm, especially if you know Gobs went spiders. So then, pikes/xbows will be out pretty soon to help. Still, lings are so insane... Nothing can catch them and they're great harassers. They respawn fast and can stealth in trees while doing so.
Edit: Just watched it.
Had this been isen mirror, the same thing would've happened. Lings/warg packs are pretty much the hardest counters to wildmen you can imagine. Naturally, you're gonna have a field day. Some tips for you: - Had you not engaged underneath the crebain but harassed instead, you would've won even faster. If you're faster you should never engage under bad circumstances. You ended up WC'ing 2 hordes but they could've both been full health. Then, 1 horde could've harassed and 1 killed the wildmen. - Put your lings in hold ground stance vs weak swordsmen (like wildmen).
For SPQR: - Vs gobs/isen/elf onhost, scout (if you plan to wildmen start). They are super weak vs cavalry and if you can't use them to harass, they're pretty useless. - Alternatively, place 2-3 farms within fort range (completely -> 95% 85% 77% -> $66 instead of $75 per cycle) if you expect a cav start. Most likely, you'll be able to defend all three with 1-2 batts of wildmen even vs spiderlings. That'll allow the rest to attack. - You kept sending wildmen to fight the spiders instead of either a) sending them to his base, at least distracting the spiders -> keep them away from your farms b) keeping them near your fort and wait for xbows/pikes. - I would've gone Lurtz rather than Sharku because he can also scare off lings and riders, but Sharku has to get up close and he dies quickly to poison/goblin spam.

Isen got a 4th farm before Uruk Pit which you should never do cause it just delays everything. You cant effectively defend 4 farms with only wilds and once Isen loses one of his first 3 farms that's just it, almost impossible to recover. As isen you gotta sit tight on 3 farms, defend with wallhubs and well pre-positioned Wilds until you got enough units to move out.
That's basically how you behave against any harassment-oriented start that delays real army-units (Warg Pack-, Spiderling-, Harad Lancer Sart). You just try to lose nothing and hit him hard later with a much bigger and more valuable army.

guys im sorry but due to my latest experience, spiderlings r 2 much op, they're owning godlikke swordsmen and cav, also archers, only one thing is to counter them r pikes . From what time spiderlings have become better than cav in the game? it changes everything ! big greetings to jason.

For me, the big problem is how good they are vs structures.
Compared to regular cavalry, they take much more dmg from arrows. Additionally, of course, they can't trample.

Spiderlings are actually quite frail. They're certainly strong against swordsmen (as that is their default counter). They're good against flanking cavalry. From past experience, if you challenge 'lings on hold ground stance, your cavalry should survive. I can't speak much for the weaker riders such as Lancers and Wolves though. Archers rip 'lings apart. Naturally, though, you can't expect archers to tank their damage as they're pretty much vulnerable to all melee damage.

They're super fast though, which normally doesn't matter much but when they're excellent harassers, it really does. I'd say they're better at harassing (lvl1 and 2 farms at least) than spider riders in a lot of cases.

Their structural damage was reduced in 6.0.0 for this very reason. I don't believe further nerfs are needed for the simple fact that 'lings become obsolete late game. You won't see them made late game because they're effectively "useless" as army support IMO.
