So my first post to Gamereplays this is the first ever 1v1 I've done and I would like to know what I could do to get better. Thank you.

Welcome to GameReplays!

I'm at work right now, but I have good faith someone will leave some feedback on your replay soon.

Welcome!

Ok so there's quite a bit to get through so here goes:
  • Firstly it would be a good idea to build your first three mallorn trees at 97% each (or higher), this gives you a maximum of +25 resources per cycle, it's not massively important but it's a good habit to get into.
  • You did a fast rax which is ok, but if you want an aggressive start like this it's not useful to go archers and play defensive, you need to either harrass or creep a lair, it's important to realise your first few units are the most influential and this means you need to be using them, having them in your base is not useful.
  • Your expansion was good but you can do a 2nd production building (rax/stables) much earlier, it's not possible to defend 550cp worth of trees with 1 rax while keeping your opponent under pressure. With a faction like elves usually you can do it after 4th tree. Learning to balance economy and army supply is a key skill to learn but takes some experience.
  • You saw fast wargs, best to retreat your archers back straight away when you see that.
  • If you have units idle, it's always best to creep while you have time (extra money and PP). This map has some easy ones in the middle.
  • With Archer/Spear mixes, use the spearmen in porcupine, this gives a large boost to their armour giving time for the archers to do damage. The archers are the damage dealers, the more time they have to fire the better the battle will go for you.
  • Retreat archers if you have no shield in front of them.
Hope this helps! Tried to keep the tips quite general as specific MU tips won't be particularly helpful at this point. You'll improve if you spam some games/watch other replays etc. Also upload some more replays if you want and i'll do my best to help.
