Just watched this, both players played really well up to about the 30 min mark. Really WP to dread and mauhur, both kept up really good spam and played almost flawlessly.

Gobs should have eliminated dwarves then though, he had him in his base and it was just mistake after mistake, he was clearly frustrated and just kept attacking the fort, even after a few failed attempts. Dragon, balrog, wyrm, all wasted attacking 1 fortress when he could have taken out every single RB and crippled the dwarves for good. I had to fastforward some parts near the end because it was making me mad watching it.

I hope anyone watching learns from this, mauhur played well to come back but if the gob had carried on playing for map control and targeted other buildings apart from the fort, it would have been over.

GG nonetheless, but not HoF worthy because of that.

The mistake here was that I couldnt keep my BWs alive and lost them 1 by 1. That allowed his archer count to get out of control and my infantry melted too fast.

Yeah that too, but that definitely falls under the 'minor mistake/mistakes' category, it would have been great if you'd kept them all alive, but I didn't see it as a massive mistake when you lost them (like running 3 of em into pikes at once tongue.gif ) .

Not a minor mistake imo, its essential for all good factions to have a certain amount of cavalry vs. Gobs otherwise a GW+GA combo can just wreck everything at some point. This is just not too known because almost noone uses GAs to the extent Dread and I do. No matter if its SoG+GA, Mithlond+Lorien or Guardian+Axe, GW+GA eats all if theres no cav to constantly reduce the GA amount to 0 and therefore make them pointless to get.
You can see it numerous times in this game that Dread took a lot of good little battles because he had enough GW+GA that 1 BW couldnt kill but 3 or 4 BWs would roll over this within 1 trample.
Also the archers did move with the Horde Bonus most of the time which is a huge factor too.
