Rise of the Witchking 2.01

CW is offline and to not get rusty we decided to play a 2vs2 on buckland which turned out to be quite a long but constant action game with switchings in the tide every 2 minutes at some points Includes Lurtz Saruman 2 fells, Gothmog, Hwaldar and the Mouth of Sauron and a lot of units that crushed onto each other. Review would be appreciated (btw the great size is because it's rather long but especially because of much spam of wildmen, orcs and thralls.)

Sorry guys I don't quite understand the rating of this game. This was a more than average game with senseless spamm and and lack of skill in the late game. Not that I am a pro but as a person who likes to watch replays this was far away from silver in my opinion.

Ok again,I am gonna try and be nice here.First of all,this game is nowhere near gold nor silver.Like Waitstom said,its just a senseless spam game.I've never before in my life seen Isen have such problems with fells.You have the faction that deals with them the easiest and you made it look impossible at times.One time you crippled it and RAN AWAY with lurtz,2 axes and Saruman who had fireball.Power points wasted by everyone.Wasted a watcher on 2 orc archer bats ffs.Never ever tried to kill the industries with your powers.Cashfloating by isen was terrible when you can easily gain FU armies in a instant.So many times early game you could have wrecked both mordor and angmar forts with 1 or 2 torched wildmen but ya didnt micro them nor try.Mordor i don't even know why you got trolls nor cav.You did absolutely nothing with them.I mean you basically spammed archers with fire all game with catapults.So unique let me tell ya.Why not black riders to kill the isen heros? I seen Poseidon finally got ups,but like 20 minutes to late.I don't think Lord Dagon ever did.I didnt finish watching outta sheer disappointment and boredom.The expanding was horrible.Mid and late game it was non existant.Oh and Poseidons 2nd fort just.....wtf you even build it for.You didnt protect it or anything.Basically this is stuff i gathered by not paying that much attention to the game.Oh ya thought of more,The teamwork...bad.No good organized attacking from any of you.Ya defended somewhat ok,but attacking was terrible.

I'm sorry but Sephira,If you consider this a gold contender then you seriously need to revise your reviewing tactics.I can't stop from saying that major favoritism is shown on this rep cause the play is just bad.Once again i'm sorry but something needs said here.

When anyone thinks of gold replays we think of hardly any mistakes.The Avatar vs Juan game,i found one mistake,Spider riders into pikes.I usually discount stances as no one can be perfect with them.But in this game i've found over 20.Thats just not Gold nor silver standard.

Lol i was reading Sephira's review and had to comment more.You said they had great teamwork.Bah!It was average at that.The defending was ok,somewhat,but organized attacking again was terrible.Game could have ended so much sooner if both Isens would have attacked together.The few times they did,They brought up huge armies and wouldn't split them up to harras and fight.That is called micro.

Well deserving silver, and unless I see a better game (doubtful) I'll be voting it for rotw

Unfortunately though, however entertaining it was, there were some big mistakes preventing me from voting gold

I'll go through my reasons now.

- Some of the BO's were bad, meaning if the right ones were used there would have been a bigger advantage early game. (ie getting the tower too early and being a furnace down at the start)
- Some building placements were bad, making it easy to harass
- Not enough real harassing, was fine to begin with but went downhill, you need to come in from angles and harass everywhere instead of being focused on attacking their army's too much.
- Upgrades came way too late (!!) big mistake
- There was a lot of cash floating (!) you could really have spent that on upgrades ect.
- No use of lumber mills from LoD.
- You needed the nazgul pack to kill Isen heroes
- Mumakils? why?
- The 2nd for from Posidon was useless, not only that but that money had been sitting there for ages, and was badly needed for upgrades ect.
- A lot of small micro errors, like not moving away from Saruman's wizzard blast.

It's a shame because if you even cut this list down a little bit, (removing some of the really big ones) I would have voted yes.
